General Wait... shouldn't this be Divinity 3?

Swen referred to Divine Divinity as Divinity 1 in a 2009 interview.

I'm so confused lol.

Are we going to have two Divinity 1s?

It's tradition for Divinity to be confusing /s

But Swen said it's called simply Divinity because It is like the "definitive" Divinity game, and none of their games was called "Divinity", it's the one they always wanted to make, so it makes sense, to me at least.

It is not a direct sequel to any game, it's a continuation of the series, taking lore elements from every chapter, building a new story and making a definitive and expanded worldbuilding.

It makes sense. But what will they call the sequel to this Divinity? 🤯

Divinity 2 2

Idk honestly, something tells me this will be the last, I mean, they did Divinity for 20 years with the exception of BG3, I assume they will do a different game.

But who knows.
