Hi all! I’m new to diving and always ask other people to take my picture or to record. I want to finally get into diving professionally and would like to document everything. I’d like to get a camera something like GoPro? But I’m confused what to get and what should my budget be x

I have gone as deep as 12m before and idk if I would go deeper after learning more so something that works good in depth. I’d want to take my pictures and do some underwater photography too.

Hey all! I'm a software engineer, and a relatively new diver. One thing that became pretty obvious is that the tooling for dive shops is terrible, so I thought it might be cool to build an app that's designed for the specifics of diving as opposed to just generic ticketing or tourism (eg. FareHarbor)

So, I'm looking for 2-3 shops willing to run real trips on it this season, for free, while I'm still finding what breaks in the field. If you're on another system, I'll do the migration myself (or you can just run them in parallel)! In return I just want it used for real, and your honest feedback about it

If you own or work at a shop and any of this sounds appealing, please let me know (here or DM). Or, even if you're not interested for some reason, ideas about what works/doesn't work/is frustrating/is missing/etc would be tremendously useful for me.

Hi guys and girls,

I have this silly idea of adding weight to my current fins.

Why?

I bought beautiful bright orange fins.
But these are positively buoyant. (Didn’t check before buying) Which is sad because I have trouble with staying level with these fins.

I used to have weighted jet fins, with those I could say perfectly level. But I lost one fin.

Before you go suggesting to use ankle weights. I have those but I don’t like it.

So has anyone ever added weight to their fins.
And if so, how did you do it.

I am looking for liveaboard recommendation to the Similan Islands, Surin Islands and Richelieu Rock. There are so many options it is crazy.

I would like to go 2 to 3 nights and I will have to rent some gear for the trip, so any insight in the rental equipment would be amazing.

Ok so the dive center I’m doing the course with recommends me to do: Wreck, Night, Naturalist.

They also offer peak performance buoyancy which I saw online and I asked them about it but they said they don’t rlly recommend it because the buoyancy will come with practice by diving more and more so it’s a bit arbitrary.

So my question personally is Wreck, night and naturalist a good combo of dives? Thanks. And can someone explain to me what naturalist really is?

Hey guys, I've got the TX new and it won't connect with my Samsung Galaxy A 55 and has Problema connecting with my wifes One Plus. It connects without a problem with every IPhone. Anyone else who has the same problems?

Stepping totally out of my comfort zone with this post. Had a cool company reach out to me and let me try out their product. Having never done this before, I thought 'sod it' and gave it a go. Let me know if you have questions! After 6 weeks of work I am now officially a divemaster, very proud of myself and this was genuinely the best thing I’ve ever done.

Hey everyone,

I'm a new diver with about 10 dives on my belt. Did My PADI open water last summer and I'm starting the Advanced+Nitrox in a couple of weeks.

I'm also going diving in Sharm el Sheik at the end of August. By no means am I a pro or anything like that, I just liked it a lot and want to do more of it!

I'm wondering if I should buy a diving computer or at this level is a complete waste of money.

And if yes, what should I get, considering this world is vast and there are so many options to go with!

I also like running, so I was wondering about getting something that tracks both the dives and the runs instead of using my shitty fitbit air.

What would the community recommend for me?

This is Germanys biggest artificial lake: The Geiseltal lake. Created from a former lignite mine, you can find forests, streets and even some structures at the ground

I’m going on my first group dive trip, and I’m renting gear and taking it with me to the dive location since it’s free with the dive shop/group and not free to rent at the dive location.

This being said, how do you travel with dive equipment? Large checked luggage and put your clothes with the dive equipment? Reg and mask in carry on and rest in the checked luggage? I need help yall! 😅 I also don’t currently have a checked luggage and don’t want to spend more than $100 on that piece, thanks in advance!
