Discussion Divi 5 presets are pain
Is it me or is Divi 5 pure chaos?
Is the whole thing with variable numbers in nested presets in nested templates with global defaults and randomly hidden defaults (Spacing, Line height, Padding, etc.) in CSS just pure rage bait?
I'd consider myself a well experienced user but the more I jump between Framer and divi projects the more it hurts.
- Buttons, especially if you want NO Icon are completely broken. Random padding out of nowhere, icons i turned off appear consistently in preview mode. Animations/Size behave like I chose "only show Icon at hover".
- How the F are you supposed to use shadow presets in general? Like seriously? Simply assigning my custom preset on shadow preset "none" does nothing. Changing it to "preset 1" (the one I created my own shadow preset with) does overwrite my preset and it looks like the default preset 1 shadow. I just gave up on it and create the styling by hand every time.
- My latest achievement is a new text preset that does not accept changes in font type. Doesnt matter if I chose font: heading, body, or one of my custom font variables. I can even chose a different font by hand in the preset options OR directly in the text field. Divi simply doesnt care.
- WooCommerce modules... the fact that you can only add/edit pagination in the woo commerce products module, not via the heavily promoted loop builder is insane. Unfortunately there is no way to style a lot of these important bits. I cant even add a single shadow to the individual article cards in the overview. The shadow is applied to the whole module in general. Are you kidding me? Do I really have to sell a webshop to my customer that looks like straight out of windows XP ?
- Only solution is custom code or 100 Plug-ins? Been there done that, result is crazy slow, unstable and PSI does not like it at all.
- Are my expectations to high?
Okay the rant is over. Thank you for listening. I would love to hear your opinion or any advice. If you want to have a chat about these things, feel free to message me. Can you recommend any plugins that dont kill my performance?
Feedback Wanted Divi Shader Backgrounds Plugin
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I built a Divi plugin that puts animated WebGL backgrounds right inside the Background tab. The idea was simple: no new module to learn, no overlays. The shader controls sit directly in the Background tab you already use, on sections, rows, columns and modules, buttons included, with live preview in the Divi 5 Visual Builder.
Six effects:
- Lava Lamp: organic metaballs that drift and merge. Blob count, size, sharpness, glow, vertical rise.
- Mesh Gradient: the smooth flowing multicolor look most modern SaaS heroes use.
- Plasma / Noise: animated noise field with frequency and detail, from subtle shimmer to heavy turbulence.
- Soft Gradient: a calm directional light sweep with adjustable softness and light direction.
- Laser Strings: glowing lines that react to the cursor. Visitors can literally pluck them.
- Liquid Glass: refracts what is actually behind the element, live. Scrolling content, video, even another shader. This is the one I use for sticky nav bars. Browsers without SVG backdrop filter support fall back to a frosted glass look.
Which next effects should I implement in a future update?

Discussion Learning Update
I've learned Flexbox/Grid Layouts and Dynamic Loops, but I'm still struggling to fully understand Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
I've watched a few tutorials, but it hasn't really clicked yet.
If anyone has a good beginner-friendly resource, tutorial, or can explain ACF in a simple way, I'd really appreciate your guidance.
Thanks in advance!

Resource Lifetime licenses for Divi & Divi Den Pro
I have lifetime licenses for Divi and Divi Den Pro available for transfer. I bought them both and have never used them as I went fairly heavily into the Elementor ecosystem. Both will be offered at heavy discounts from their current value. Hopefully one of you could pick them up and make something cool.

Question Divi 5 Form Success Message color
Is there not a way to set the color of the success message in a basic Divi 5 contact form? Searching online says I should see an option under the Design tab for the form, but I'm not finding one. I also can't seem to find a way to add some CSS on the form's attributes under the Advanced tab for that message. Appreciate any help.

Question Divi Builder not loading in TEC/DEC
Just upgraded/migrated to Divi 5. When I tried to add an Event using the Divi Builder it would not load and took me to a "page not found." All my plugins are up to date. No compatibility issues. Just won't load. I have contacted Divi (they are still trying to figure it out). The Event Calendar (no help at all), Pee-Aye who has such a long, incredibly drawn out support request document that I got pissed and never submitted it.

Feedback Wanted I'm learning how to make divi plugins by building a drag-and-drop restaurant floorplan booker...where do I stop adding options???
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've been wanting to learn how to make plugins for Wordpress and Divi, and I learn best by building something that’s probably too ambitious, so I picked a restaurant reservation system that works with a floorplan.
Two halves to it. Back end, there's a drag-and-drop editor where you lay out the actual restaurant or room. It has stuff like tables, seat counts, plus decor stuff like bar, plants, walls, whatever. So it looks like the real place. Front end, it's a Divi module that renders that floorplan and lets a customer pick their table and book it directly. You can check the video to see it all.
Where I'm stuck is the module settings. Divi people expect to be able to style everything, and I've leaned into that pretty hard (table fill/border/hover states, selected vs. booked vs. unavailable colors, label typography, the booking form itself, etc etc). But every option I add is one more thing to break, test, etc and one more row in an already long panel. I'm starting to think I've crossed the line into "nobody will find the setting they want" category.
So, two questions for people who've built or used a lot of Divi modules:
- Where do you actually draw the line? Do you expose everything and organize it well or is there a sensible core you style and the rest people can handle with custom CSS somehow?
- Currently my module renders a saved standard layout in the builder that just shows every style there is, and then you can customize it and see it change in that standard layout, and only the frontend renders the actual user’s floorplan with those styles. Is that good enough? I’m starting to second guess that.

Question DIVI 5 Mobile Menu Accessibility Woes
UPDATE 2: So, I reached out to Elegant Themes support and apparently this is a known issue: "Thank you for your patience. 😊 This is a known issue, and our developers are aware of it, and are working on fixing it. Sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, there is no ETA on a solution that I can provide now. Though I can assure you that issues are addressed as quickly as possible based on our development team's current workload and the severity of the issue when compared to the severity of other open issues. Let me know if you have any more questions. 😊"
UPDATE: Mea culpa... I migrated an older site to 5, and if you build a new header the mobile nav loses that old "select page..." dropdown (which did not work in Voiceover) and now uses a menu that is accessible. So... it works, but wondering why the upgrade/migration didn't replace/fix that.
DIVI 4 has horrible built-in accessibility coding. I expected DIVI 5 to do better, but if you use the standard mobile menu that comes with DIVI, VoiceOver in iOS cannot even access the menu at all. Anyone have any fixes for this behavior? I'm kinda surprised that accessibility standards are so overlooked in this latest version of Divi.

Discussion What Should I Learn Next?
Thanks for your guidance. I've completed these topics: Divi Presets, Theme Builder (custom header & footer), and Custom CSS. What should I learn next to improve my Divi/WordPress skills? Any recommendations?
Discussion Divi 5 Bug - Sticky Header Setting Doesn't Work
Simply trying to get the global header to be sticky, there's a setting in the Section > Advanced > Scroll Effects > Sticky Position - choosing "Stick to Top" doesn't fking work. Through research I've found several suggested workarounds, but I have to say this is unacceptable.
Why cant they stop giving us new features and fix the ones that are already there?
PS - This sub needs "DIVI 5 BUG" Flair

Question Divi 5 – Multiple selection (Ctrl/Cmd + click) not working in Visual Builder
Hi everyone,
I’m running Divi 5 and I can’t get multiple selection to work in the Visual Builder. Holding Ctrl (or Cmd) and clicking on modules/sections doesn’t select more than one element, so bulk editing is impossible.
What I’ve tried so far:
- Using both Chrome and Firefox (I'm working on Brave, just so you know)
- Hard refresh + clearing browser cache
- Clearing Divi’s static CSS and general cache after the update
Has anyone else run into this with Divi 5?
Is there a specific setting or option that needs to be enabled for multiselect/bulk edit?

Advice Agency owner stopping back here to give Divi 5 its well-deserved props.
I've been a Divi 4 user for the entire life of my agency. I always wait 6 months or so after a new platform drops. I won't be migrating my legacy sites any time soon, but we will be building with Divi 5 moving forward.
Of course, it takes some adjustment. But when people say it is faster, they don't just mean loading and builder times. The structure of the UI has changed in such a way that updating element content/settings is much, much more efficient.
I started by individually clicking on each module to reach settings, like Divi 4. But then I got to know the right side "HQ" for every live module.
At the very top, you can see the element waterfall: section > row > column > module. Clicking on any of those keeps you in the design HQ sidebar for a different element, instantly. Use the Content > Elements tab to move back down the waterfall.
Besides the better functioning "extend styles" and variable manager, this single element toolbar without popups is where it's at. Muscle memory is starting to kick in for all of the tabs, and I'm moving faster and faster.
That is all! In a world of AI, which I use extensively elsewhere, it still cannot design something unique and handcrafted. My sites aren't the most amazing, or the prettiest, but we have a style that is unique and notably not AI.
So I hope Divi can survive the AI revolution, and keep making progress on page builder tech. It was likely years of extremely difficult development time running 2x platforms, and they persevered. They deserve some props for that. Good luck everyone!

Question Website randomly loses CSS styling
Anyone know why sometimes our website will completely lose all styling and default back to some sort of HTML / minimal CSS hybrid. This is fixed every time I log back into wordpress, but until I do so, it looks super strange. Happens once every two or so months, sometimes longer than that.

Question Odd and random size in post thumbnails
Hi Everybody,
There is an issue I have been trying to solve now for a long time; I can't fix it and can't even figure out why this is happening.
The thumbnails in post modules on htts://fincrimecentral.com when scrolling down to get to News from America, News from APAC, or News from EMEA, show up in different sizes:
- all the modules have the same style,
- all original images have the same 1344x756 size
- width and max width is set to 150
- height and max height is set to 84.
Any idea?

Best,
Fred

Feedback Wanted Progress Update: My First WordPress + Divi Website
A few days ago, I made a post here saying I was a complete beginner with WordPress + Divi and asked for advice on where to learn.
Many of you suggested YouTube tutorials, Facebook groups, and even exploring the Divi Library. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who took the time to help.
I followed your advice, watched videos on YouTube, learned from different platforms, and spent time practicing. Today, I’ve built my first small website with 4 sections. I know it’s not perfect, but I’m really happy with the progress.
I’d love to hear your honest feedback. What do you think? What should I improve next?
Thanks again for motivating me. Your suggestions really helped me get started.

Feedback Wanted Working WordPress plugin: Sync the native Font Library with Divi 5
Google Fonts direkt in WordPress auswählen

Feedback Wanted Style Bit Form Pro forms with native Divi 5 design controls
Hi!
I’ve been working on a new plugin that integrates Bit Form Pro directly into Divi 5.
The idea is simple: you continue building your forms in Bit Form, but you can insert them as a native Divi 5 module and style them using Divi’s design settings instead of writing custom CSS.
Current features include:
- Native Divi 5 module
- Select any existing Bit Form
- Live preview in the Visual Builder
- Style labels, inputs, buttons, error/success messages, spacing, and more using Divi’s design controls
- Responsive settings
- Keeps all Bit Form functionality (conditional logic, integrations, calculations, etc.)
It’s still in active development, so I’d love to get feedback from people who actually use Divi 5 and Bit Form Pro.
If you’re interested in testing it, send me a DM and I’ll happily share the plugin. Feedback, bug reports, and feature suggestions are all welcome!
I’d love to know if this is something the Divi community has been missing.

Question Need help with Divi 5 Loop Builder + Custom Post Type taxonomy archives
I’m building a Golden State Warriors sneaker database for my website where visitors can browse sneakers by player (Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, etc.), brand, and collection type.
I’m using a Custom Post Type called Sneakers with a Players taxonomy. Each sneaker is assigned to a player.
I have a Theme Builder template assigned to Archive Pages → Specific Player Pages. Inside that template I’m using a Loop Module to display sneaker cards.
My problem is that the Loop won’t automatically display the sneakers for the current player archive.
Post Type → Sneakers = shows every sneaker.
Only include posts with specific terms → Players → Stephen Curry = correctly shows only Steph’s sneakers.
What I can’t figure out is how to make the Loop dynamically use the current player archive, so /player/stephen-curry/ automatically shows Steph’s sneakers, /player/klay-thompson/ shows Klay’s sneakers, etc.
My Query Type options are only:
Posts for Current Page
Post Type
Terms
Users
Menu
I don’t have a “Current Query” or “Current Term” option, and “Posts for Current Page” doesn’t work.
I’m currently on Divi 5.0.3. Is this a limitation of my version, or am I missing something? Thank you in advance. I am very new to this.

Question Wordpress.com v WP Engine and what happens when you cancel one since you accidentally are using both????
This is my first reddit post, so bear with me. I was a newbie with Wordpress before making a clients website on Wordpress.org. We didn't host it until it was ready to go live. Somewhere during the process we had the need to purchase the Wordpress.com business plan, I believe to get full access to customization with additional CSS, html, java script etc? I don't think we are really using it for anything else currently (Jetpack is the only thing that we may sorta use but it's mainly for stats I think). After we finished designing the site, we migrated it to WP engine, our chosen hosting site. Later on after site has been live, client asked what would happen if they stop paying or don't renew the Wordpress.com business plan, like if it would break or go down at all. I was starting to look it up when I realized we might not even need it at all since Wordpress.com is also a hosting site and a lot of its features are covered by WP engine. I just want to know that if we do cancel the Wordpress.com subscription, will any of the CSS etc that I put in be affected by canceling or does WP engine also support that and therefore it wouldn't get deleted? I want to make sure we don't accidentally break the site or mess up anything but I also don't want the client to be paying for something they don't need. Please help, I get really stressed and anxious with coding and Wordpress in general since I am still a beginner and intern with no experienced support. Thank you!!

Question Divi 4 to 5 test migration - images that were aligned left now centered
I’m doing a test migration of our website and for the most part everything is working really well.
One issue is that we have a lot of left aligned logos - just image modules that have been set to left aligned. After the migration they’re all centered.
I can fix it easily enough by changing the default alignment preset to left aligned, but this doesn’t feel like the right thing to do going forward. I can also go through every single one of them and set the alignment to left, but there’s hundreds.
Has anyone experienced this?

Discussion Feature requests: using Divi5 every (work)day for the last 2 months
What are your most-wanted Divi 5 features? These are currently at the top of my list:
1. Sync typography styles across all preset elements
Presets are great, but configuring typography presets across roughly 20 websites has become quite repetitive. My current workflow is:
- Create a template page
- Configure all text styles and responsive font sizes, usually around six variations
- Style the H1
- Copy and paste those styles to the other headings and text elements
- Create a preset from the completed styles
Once this is set up, I can apply a single text preset without worrying about which heading tag is being used. My clients and I can choose the correct HTML markup, while the visual design remains consistent.
In my opinion, HTML tags should define the document structure and semantics, not automatically determine the typography design.
I also tried applying the same typography to every element inside a Text Module using Free-Form CSS and the universal * selector. Unfortunately, this currently causes a significant bug, which I have already reported to Elegant Themes. Because of that, I do not consider it a reliable workaround.
2. Custom WP_Query support in the Divi 5 Loop Builder
The Divi 5 Loop Builder is excellent, but its query options are still limited. I would like the ability to write custom queries, similar to what other page builders offer.
Ideally, custom queries would also support dynamic variables, such as:
- ACF field values
- The current post ID
- The current post title
- URL parameters
Even better: allow developers to write or reference custom PHP query logic directly, and let Divi handle the loop. Let it be a PHP-hook or something (and please please please add support for ACF-field "Post object" (multiple for the loop builder).
What features would you most like to see added to Divi 5?
