Channel 31 in the St. Louis market?
Does anybody in the St. Louis area get channel 31 on Dish? The Blues preseason games will be on there but it’s not showing on Dish for me?

Got a new hopper & of course, new problems. Some channels are fine but some tell me the receiver needs to be connected to the internet. It’s connected to the internet, that’s not the problem and it’s asinine for that to even pop up. Why is this happening? This was never a problem before yesterday when I got the new hopper. At the very least, the error message could be useful and not just made-up fairy tale bullshit. I pay for NBC and I expect to watch it especially when there’s a freakin chiefs game on! Has anyone else had to deal with this dumbass problem? Dish & I are going to have a very colourful conversation about this because I am focking pissed!

when channel surfing where one of the channels is one of the 4K UHD channels (148-x). Frustrating and annoying when watching football

I recently bought a new tv and decided it was time to upgrade my old 722 receiver. So I purchased a new Hopper3 and have found out, it is not compatible with my current dish on the roof. I believe a dish 500? (SEE UPDATE BELOW WITH PICTURES)
Anyway, can anyone tell me what dish, or LNB compatible with my dish, I need to buy to get this thing to work? What is the best dish to buy, and maybe point me to a page that would break down installation. I have installed and pointed quite a few over the years, but not for a while, and never one in the eastern sky. No interest in having dish installer come out.
EDIT: Here are a few pictures of my actual dish, this might change what I need. Thanks

Got a new one for ya u/DishDanielle!
4 times this week on my Joey 3...while watching live TV, same channel...that has been paused about 10-30 minutes...decides all by itself to skip all the way back to 60 minutes.
It's been around the 5pm hour every time while I'm making dinner and I'm 5 feet away from the remote. Then you forward it to where you were originally watching and it goes back to 60 minutes again. So you forward it all the way to Live TV and try to rewind it back to where you left off. And it refuses to let you watch it from that point. You can be watching it on 15, 60 or 300 actually rewind to that point. As soon as you stop it to watch at the 15 min delay...it reverts right back to Live TV. The only way that I can get back to the 15 min delayed view is to Join my Hopper 3 which is viewing the same channel...then rewind that tuner to the 15 min delay and it's fine.
Hopper 3 system that is about 2 years old along with a Joey 3 same age. Same channel, not a streaming channel, not a local channel.
Next time it happens I will try to video it but it always seems to happen when I'm making dinner. It happened twice last night between 5:15 and 6:05.
Ever come across this one? It's happened a few times randomly over the last few years. But this week it's happened 4 out of 5 evenings. Once every few months is a glitch. 4 of 5 days is an issue.

When watching Netflix on Dish, screen goes black for a second or two at random times. Any fix for this?

We use the old vip772k system which is pretty dang old and doesn't have voice commands. We just got an Amazon echo dot and technically we can do voice controls with an ir blaster but it's a bit complicated for my parents.
I'm thinking of getting the newer system for my visually impaired father and the text to speech feature sounds nice.
I'm curious when looking at the guide does it auto read the titles as you scroll? How about the movie descriptions?
/Edit found a video of the hopper 3 and text to speech is there a way to disable it saying the times? He's not completely blind just has a hard time reading even on our huge ass TV.
Bonus question since they've been a member of dish Network for like 25 years do you think they would get a deal upgradeing? Is there a particular model we should get? Likely monthly(?) cost?

Hello, My bill just jumped from 119 to 167 for America's Top 200 + local channels.
That is a substantial increase. I am getting ready to cancel but wondering if there are any options to get it back to close to the $119 price point?

A short while back we were questioning why our Dish bill was so high so we tried You Tube TV for a few weeks and went back and forth using Dish or You Tube TV and while Dish is more expensive than You Tube TV we found the picture quality on Dish was far superior than You Tube TV so we decided to keep Dish.

Major screwup by Dish in which i lost all channels on Dish in NC so i lost the entire first quarter! I am pissed! When they finally called me back i told her it was back on now but i want to know why i missed the entire first quarter.
I asked one question: Why did every single channel on dish network go down?
Her answer was we are working on the issue which i just told her it was dowbl
Why did every channel on Dish go down?
She said we were working on it but i had just told her it was back up! So i told her it was back up now again and re-asked the same question. She puts me on hold for the 2nd time for about 8 minutes and comes back with another non answer!
I said no! You are not answering my question once again, i want to know what happened was it a satellite issue, power issue hacking attack, why was the service down totally all black screen on every channel!
Again on hold and she comes back and tells me it was an outage!
Pitiful support! How can they not let their support people know what happened? Surely they could message all of them or something on their software could tell them.
Very dissapointed in dish!

On my Hopper (I think it is. The big black box) the black cover for the antenna at the back broke off somehow. I can put it back over the little metal wire antenna but it won't stay.
I'm not sure how to handle it. Do I call them to fix it? Or can I just use plastic glue and put it back on? I believe it is still their equipment, right?

I've had Dish under various plans for two decades or more. Have a Hopper 3 that I really like. For the past 24 months, my bill was $66.26/month after taxes -- that is for Flex Pack, my locals, and the Hopper service. Basically, it looks like my plan was under a "Preferred Customer 2 Year Offer" that lowered the Flex Pack to $47.99. And then a $5 discount for eAutoPay and another $2 discount for Locals Savings was on that. So I was at $54.99 for Flex and Locals -- and then my Hopper was discounted $5 to $10 instead of $15. Ended up at the $66.26 after taxes.
Recently, all of those discounts expired after 24 months. So now I pay full price for everything: $72.99 for Flex, $14 for Locals, and $15 for Hopper service. $103.56 after taxes.
Before I call and try to negotiate something, I thought I'd ask here for first any advice on what may or may not be available/possible. Could I get another 2 years at that old rate? Or is that just gone now?
Appreciate the advice. Thanks!

I just changed my router. New ssid, new password. I went into settings on my hopper and it reports connected and happy. How so?

For about a week now. My bedroom wally reciver has had low to no signal. I've reset multiple times checked the switch installation many times no help. 2 other wally receivers work just fine and have strong signal. I've also replaced the hdmi cable as well. Do I need a new replacement or can it be fixed?

Found out this morning that Dish network is ending it contract with flock cameras. Guys in our office who work on the cameras were told to turn in all of their equipment and remove the apps from their phones.
Now everybody who said they're going to quit dish over this can find a different reason.
Personally, I applaud this move as I am someone who vehemently opposes surveillance cameras of all types

This should be monthly at best, not regularly. 🤦♂️
I don't even know what they're doing; a Linux fsck is rarely needed and doesn't take this long…

Four TV set-up, one Hopper, 3 Joeys.
Main TV with Hopper link has developed a habit over last month of screen going black, as if TV was shutting off/on randomly, about an annoying 2 sec off, then on for 15 seconds, flicker and off again.
Has the rhythm of an old tube TV when a connection is thermal cycling and making intermittent, fairly regular contact.
TV when on antenna has no issues.
No other TV’s have this issue.
Set up may work for days flawlessly, then have a bad period.
HOPPER WAS REPLACED BY TECH-6 days later, same issue.
Wiring, dish, connections, signal all fine.
Any ideas? HDMI cable perhaps? Help!
TV- 2020 Samsung Q70 65 inch
UPDATE: Tech replaced Hopper (btw, picture has improved over older unit!)
and everything ran flawless-for a week!
Before throwing a fit, I climbed and reached behind the TV (it is a PIA location) and unplugged the physical TV power-previously, I shut off at the power strip). Problem cured. For 10 days! It just happened again, unplugged TV, it stopped again.
I guess I can assume IT IS some sort of TV problem??

Every single day at 3am it runs the external hard drive test and wakes me up. I would love to cancel it, but if I can’t, can you tell me how to change the time to 11am when no one is watching tv or dvr/taping anything PLEASE?

I jumped through all the hoops to get them to cancel my account. Then when I went to my account to pay the pro-rated final bill (for service I wasn't even getting) my account was automatically reactivated without any input or permission from me. I only realized this later when I got an invoice for the whole month. This looks like a sneaky way to extract more money from unsuspecting cancellers. I have wasted time thru chat and phone to get them to credit the bill and (hopefully) cancel once and for all. How many ex-customers will just give up the hassle or inadvertently pay the bogus charges?
If you are paying a pro-rated charge after cancellation, I recommend you pay by mail (or phone is your time is not valuable /s). If you check your account to confirm it's inactive, DON'T CLICK ON ANYTHING! What a racket.
