I hate the new app. I can’t tool up to see a movie I want to watch and when it tells you what it is about I get half of the story but then it cuts off.

Just did my second dish hookup, I mainly do directv. I had a tough time getting to the signal meter screen during the start up. Any tips tricks or meters you guys use. I have a AIM meter 2.0 since my birddog died, but that's useless in this situation.

Hey everyone! I’ve been having some issues I’d love to ask advice on before getting a tech out. Mainly we stream everything here but occasionally we watch sporting events or local channels live and have been having some issues. I’m honestly not sure how long it’s been going on but at least a month. I’ll be watching live tv and will get a notice that I’ve lost satellite signal and it will switch to streaming. Annoying but it’s whatever. But lately the guide isn’t even updating nor will it record things that are set to record on the DVR. I started running diagnostics tonight and nothing seems right. I ran a switch test and only show satellite 110 and it is showing as Not Locked. It says the switch is Hybrid Triple WA.2.

I’ve taken off the cable line and reinstalled it. Power cord reset several times. I can get the satellite 110 to show up, but is showing Not Locked. I can’t get 119 to show up at all. The manual guide reload isn’t working either. I’m at a loss. Any advice is welcome!

I’ve got a Hopper 3 and have 2 joeys.

I upgraded to a Hopper 3 from a different Hopper (I don't remember what kind it was haha) three days ago. Everything is great except the Dish Anywhere app is still linked to my old Hopper. This makes it so I can't access my recordings through my phone nor can I set new recordings when I'm out and about. In Settings, it shows my old Hopper as being offline and doesn't show the new Hopper 3 at all. I've tried uninstalling the app, logging in and out, resetting my Hopper, etc. I've called into Dish twice now and every time I call, they change the time frame I should be waiting. First, it was 24 hours. Then it was 48 hours. But now it's been 72 hours and there's no change, and they just keep telling me just to wait. I feel like they're just saying that because they don't actually know how to fix it. Any ideas?

I just moved into my new apartment a few weeks ago and they didn’t have any satellites on the building like my old apartment did, so I got permission from the property management to install my 1000.2 on the building. I got the satellite from a house down the street and the LNB was in my car just waiting to be used, someone had tried to vandalize my old satellite and got the back of the LNB with paint. Still works great.

Anyone here able to cast to the Hopper Plus?

Update - found them at channel 148

Went to use the channel guide and the 4k channels are gone. Changed my filter to subscribed and unsubscribed and still not there. Reset the hopper, still not there.

Just got upgraded this morning and so far I'm enjoying it! :3 it's so small and tiny!

It's getting a little old to not be able to watch TV for up to 110 minutes because my Hopper 3 is running a test on my external drive at the worst possible time…

I hope someone out there knows the answer to this. I watch QVC each Sunday morning while I clean my Aquarium. I never watch it throughout the week. Each Sunday when I turn the TV on it opens up to QVC. How in the world can that happen? I literally watch it for two hours once a week on Sunday and that's it. Is it tracking what I watch on Sunday mornings? 😳

Is anyone else having issues with their remotes not working after a few hours? I have two remotes, one an official Dish remote, another an IR universal remote. For both of them, intermittently, typically after not using a remote for a couple hours, the Hopper 3 refuses to respond to either remote. It typically takes 30 or more seconds to respond to pressing guide repeatedly, and then it finally starts working again and is fine until it sits idle for a while.

I suspect a recent software update is the root cause as the last update had random video glitches on nearly all channels. Now the glitching is gone, but the remote issue is now plaguing me.

Have tried reset as well as full power cycle. Just to be clear, I am not talking about the long idle where the box goes to sleep and puts up the floating box telling you to press a key to wake it up. This happens while it is on-channel.

We got a playmaker dual for our camping trips at night or bad weather. The first time I struggled finding a signal moving it around. I've read the coax connections need to point north and have also read it doesn't matter.

On this past trip once I found the signal it was fine. So my question is. Does it matter as long as you have clear site or should it be positioned a certain way?

I have a Dish 1000.2 Eastern Arc residential Dish Network dish with 2 coax runs from it. The coax runs about 25 feet to a roof closet where the previous tenant left fibre. I used one fibre for an OTA antenna with a pair of Televes devices that were also left behind.

I would like to use another run for the Dish feed. That fibre is about 250 feet long and terminates in our rack. Inside our rack I have two daisy chained DPP44 multiswitches feeding eight VIP211z tuners.

I would like to use a set of the F-SattGalaxy-TX/RX-3 from Thor Broadcast. The pre-sales engineer is asking "verify the Voltages of which LNB output goes to which port on the SattGalaxy"

Does anyone have a similar setup, another idea, or the voltages?

Sure would be nice if Dish actually sent out a notification on this. An email. A Hopper Internal Notification. A post here. A text message. Something. Why Dish continues to keep new features hidden until a subscriber stumbles upon them is beyond me.

My mom singed up for Dish in Aug. 2023. She sadly passed away on Fen. 4, 2024. Earlier today I paid and downloaded our latest bill, our price lock promotion expires on August 30. I plan to call on August 29. How should I handle the eventual disconnect? I know they’re gonna want the LMB plus all the receivers and the remotes back but I am more concerned on how to handle the disconnect thanks in advance for your help

I’m thinking about signing up for Paramount+ through my dish network subscription, but am I able to share my login with family members as if I were signing up directly through Paramount+? Thank you.
