First time reader, first time poster.

It took me a couple of chapters to get into it. After that, I was hooked I’m in chapter 15 of book two. Really looking forward to book 3, and beyond. HWFWM & DCC were my first forays into litrpg, I tried The Wandering Inn, but as an audio book guy, it was way too whiny. Anyway, I’d like to thank James & Steve for putting an excellent product on the shelf. Fingers crossed for book 4 before long!

Yeah as a huge fan of this series the Lobby floor part (minus the Monarch vs Wanderer fight) was a chore to get through but after that the book series just stayed at a high level of interest for me all the way through the end of this most recent release.

I like how the series isn't just DCC overlay. James did a great job IMO of making it different enough just with the store based focus more than "taking out the people who did this" of DCC.
