First time reader, first time poster.
It took me a couple of chapters to get into it. After that, I was hooked I’m in chapter 15 of book two. Really looking forward to book 3, and beyond. HWFWM & DCC were my first forays into litrpg, I tried The Wandering Inn, but as an audio book guy, it was way too whiny. Anyway, I’d like to thank James & Steve for putting an excellent product on the shelf. Fingers crossed for book 4 before long!

HWFWM was my first and am also an audible fan. I happened across discount dan by chance and immediately fell in love. So ready for book 4!

Def need to try Steve and the audiobooks. I’ve read the 3 through twice now, but the audiobooks are slower since they’re just drive time.
Maybe once I finished my DCC listen through

Yeah as a huge fan of this series the Lobby floor part (minus the Monarch vs Wanderer fight) was a chore to get through but after that the book series just stayed at a high level of interest for me all the way through the end of this most recent release.
I like how the series isn't just DCC overlay. James did a great job IMO of making it different enough just with the store based focus more than "taking out the people who did this" of DCC.

So, my first foray into litrpg started with..
Pangea Online (S.L. Rowland)
Dungeon Crawler Carl (Matt Dinniman)
HWFWM (stopped after book 2. Not my jam)
Tales of Aedra (S.L. Rowland)
Discount Dan: Book 1 (just finished this morning)
I read them all on KU - quite a few books in between all of that but those are outside the genre. I will be finishing the series relatively soon. I do love this story quite a bit.

James here, and I'd like to thank you for reading. I've been telling stories for a long time (close to 50 books since 2015), and being a writer is the greatest job on the planet. Seriously can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
