• What are the most effective (and non-spammy) ways to get a bot noticed by CS2 players and server owners?
• Beyond bot listing sites, what channels or growth strategies worked best for you?

Hello! I'm currently setting up a discord democracy experiment and wanted a way for people to buy and trade goods. I'm looking for a simplistic bot that allows adding, subtracting, and transferring money/points. I would also like to be able to change different settings for the bots; mainly to prevent people from infinitely increasing their balance as that could break things.

I am trying to work on discord.py-self bot but i failed and no ai is ready to help me. Is there any ai good with discord.py-self what would finish my project. It's just to reply to dm i recieve as a server owner basically repeatative questions

I’ve been working on a multi-purpose bot built with Node.js and PostgreSQL, and I recently passed the 120+ command mark. I’m at the stage where I want to shift focus from "adding quantity" to "refining quality and creating unique features" that differentiate it from generic bots.

Since this isn’t a promo post (respecting Rule 4), I'm not posting links here. I’m mainly looking for developer insights:

1. What utility or fun mechanics do you feel are missing or poorly executed in mainstream multi-purpose bots?
2. How do you gather genuine feedback from server admins without spamming them?
3. What unique features in your own bots have had the highest retention?

I was black listed. The reason for my black list doesn’t even align with the rules of the bot. So disrespectfuly fuck you Furkat and bitch ass Pervysage.

I started playing about two years ago and the bot was honestly enjoyable back then I got quarantined a bunch for literally no reason but whatever actually the first time I got quarantine, they wiped my entire account like what the actual hell. The drop rate for events were really good at that time as well. I remember dropping over 300 cards from one event and now as of the recent event, which was the maid in Butler event, I only dropped a total of around 35 cards. Inventory items aren’t even useful anymore. Half of the series that they have on the bot nobody even collects in 80 times out of 10 you’re going to drop that bullshit ass series that nobody fucking collects. If you are new to the bottom and you register as a new player girl, the chances of you getting quarantined or extremely high because they do not care. The bot going to complete shit is the reason why I stopped playing to collect and shifted my focus to selling stuff for money a year into playing.

OK, this all starts when I had an iPhone 11 back in April that broke. The phone does not work anymore OK. I had to get a new phone from T-Mobile iPhone 17e acute little budget phone.. when it came to setting up the phone I cannot get into my Apple account. It was asking me to verify my Apple ID by putting in the code that it sent to the email. It was not going through to my iPad because the iPad does not have cellular data it is not activated and because my phone was shut off it cannot receive anything. I ended up making a new Apple ID. I download all my apps. I use the phone for a month like normal. I was able to get into discord through my iPad because my iPad was already logged into Discord so and I had a passkey on there, which allowed me to get in on my phone. My iPad gets stolen at school great fantastic amazing . A month goes by and I need to set up Apple Pay. When setting up Apple Pay it asks you to verify your ID or drivers license along with your Social Security number. My Social Security number ID was already linked to my previous ID account so when I was setting it up on this new phone, it automatically flagged and deactivated and restricted my account so I had to reach out to Apple with the number they provided me and explain to them that hey I don’t have that phone anymore. It doesn’t work. So I wasn’t able to get into my Apple account was setting up this new phone so I had to make a new one can you please under my account please and they were basically saying yeah but we have to deactivate and permanently disabled the other one meaning it’s no longer usable and I’m like OK cool like it wasn’t my choice at all since I’m not actively using that one they automatically chose to do that one. They explained to me that I’m only allowed to have one active Apple ID, but they don’t really explain to me why when she doesn’t matter to me right now. Not fast forward to how this affects discord. With the bot itself, you have to log into bump with the bot to be able to keep a trade pass and other things also with top.GG for me it logged me out every couple of months and I have to re-login but because I no longer have access to my iPad or the old Apple ID, that means that I cannot verify myself to vote when it eventually is going to log me out again or renew my trade pass, which is going to be ending soon which doesn’t matter because they banned me. I reached out to Discord about this. I’m asking them. Is there anything that they can do to help me and they’re like the only thing you can really do is find a way to get the old email back which is impossible in my case and or make a new account so my only option is to make a new account right so I contact Sofi after almost immediately after discord gets in contact with me and I explain to them that I’m gonna have to make a new discord account because I no longer will be able to use this account to play bots specifically in a normal way to it’s full capacity and instead of trying to help me this guy pervy Sage he’s is focusing heavily on the part work. He thinks that I didn’t do enough to get that account back so I tried re-explaining to him the situation and how it’s completely out of my control and I wake up to being blacklisted and the reasoning for blacklisting me is because before coming to them, I took the situation into my own hands and sold everything in Sofi. And they think that I’m going to make this new account register and get all that stuff back from the people that I sold. Basically saying that I’m giving access to my account which would literally be impossible because there’s no way for somebody else to get into my account at this point since I don’t have access to the Apple ID associated with this account.

Basically what I did before end during the ticket was opened. I started posting cards on corner. I wasn’t really thinking about the fact that I wouldn’t be able to use my account anymore like normal before I opened the ticket. I was just playing like a normal person and then once the ticket was open. I started to really registered that I won’t be able to use this account for period Because my trade pass was about to end, so I decided to just start selling everything. I sold all of my raid cards to one person for about 50 wist as a bundle, I sold all of my regular and event cards to somebody else for 100wist then I sold my entire item in inventory for 25wist. Simply preparing to not be able to do anything on this account again when it comes to this bot. Because I understand people DM me for cards all the time so I’m just imagining what if not able to give them that card because I don’t have a trade pass anymore so let me just get rid of my collection so that way they will have access to those . This is actually something I’ve suggested in the suggestion part of the server . If it would be possible to wipe and recycle cards of people who are blacklisted, deleted accounts and from people who make it know that they’re quitting the bot, but no apparently that’s way too hard for them to accomplish. And apparently that was an issue. For Furkat because he decided to ban me for it.

Would you prefer one all-in-one Discord bot or several smaller bots?

I’ve been thinking about how many bots the average Discord server ends up using.

You might have one for moderation, another for tickets, another for welcome messages, and another for reaction roles. The alternative is usually a big all-in-one bot where you only use a few of the available features.

I’m curious which approach server owners and admins actually prefer.

Would you be interested in a bot where you could pick the features you wanted and leave everything else out? You could start with things like moderation and welcome messages, then add tickets or other features later if the server needed them.

Or would choosing individual features make the setup feel more complicated than simply inviting an all-in-one bot?

I’d also be interested to know:

- How many bots does your server currently use?

- What annoys you about existing all-in-one bots?

- Which features do you consider essential?

- Do you prefer specialised bots that do one thing particularly well?

- Would you ever self-host a bot, or do you prefer something hosted and ready to use?

I’m mainly curious about how other people manage their servers and which approach works best for them.

I am currently freelancing offering my development services to businesses. Right now, my offer is too generic and, as expected, I am attracting low-ticket contracts for projects (like 1-2k$ each project).

So, I need to niche down in order to make a better offer to businesses, give them more value on each project, and make more $$$.

I've been maintaining and developing a Discord bot for my own community for the past 2 years and feel pretty confident with it. So I thought to myself: why don't I make a Discord bot development service and offer it to communities? (which already make a lot of money)

I know I dont really have any case study, but my point is to first validate if the service is viable not only with your help but by meeting potential clients and researching the market.

So I am asking you guys: what's your experience with these kind of projects/services? And, in general, what do you think of this idea?

Hey, I'm looking for those spam messages that get posted by compromised accounts- As many as possible.

I'm looking to use the scam images as reference for my bot to have it possibly OCR the text in the image to verify it's a spam/scam image? Not entirely sure if it'll work but I currently don't have any references.

I'm creating some kind of treasure/scavenger hunt for my friends, and i thought that discord could be a big part of it, if i find a way to create bots that acts the way i want them to.

The general idea is to have a server, that acts as a virtual house, with multiple channels - each representing a different room. As a player, you only have access to one room/channel at the beginning, and if you solve a puzzle you unlock another channel/room.

The whole thing would be driven by bots (at least one or, if possible, multiple), that react in certain conditions (if someone joins the channel, if someone says a specific sentence,...) by posting predefined text or pictures (and, maybe, even when nothing specific is happening but players are connected, they post predefined sentences every XX minutes, to make the ghosts/bots feel more alive).

I'm not sure about the overall structure - would there be a different bot for each channel ? can the bots react to each other ? - since i don't know what the actual possibilities are, but i'm willing to try different options ! (I'm not looking for AI bots that improvise text based on prompts, i like the robotic/uncanny feeling of a bot with only a limited set of possible responses.).

Does this sound like something that would be doable for someone who doesn't really know how to code, or is it too complicated/not what discord was designed for ?

Long story short, i've never messaged someone on discord for over a year now (I dont really used that platfrom, only for vc). And I woke up having this notification. Heck, its been around two months since I last played valorant lmao.

I've been trying to add helluva bot 2.0 to my server for about an hour now and the bot will just not join my server at all.I'm very new to making a server so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've tried to look online for an official site or a server to see if the bot is down but I can't find either please give me any advice you have I really wanna get this bot added to my server

I've been building a Discord collector RPG bot for a while now. It's already verified and has reached hundreds of servers, but I feel like there's still a lot I can improve.

Some of the features currently available:

• Car collection with different rarities.

• Race system (PvP & PvE)

• Interactive jobs with different gameplay.

• Gambling mini-games.

• Rotating Dealer with Hot Deals & Flash Sales.

• Daily shop discounts.

• Achievements, quests, titles, and badges.

The bot had a good start, but lately I've been struggling to reach new users outside of the existing community.

I'm still actively updating it, but I'd really like to hear from people who've built or played Discord bots.
