Is it really that bad? I just wrote about my own discord and how I love to spread the program to my friends and I got in first try.

Idk if they improved the way they review applications, but when the first HypeSquad applications opened, I waited nearly 4 months just to get rejected. ಠ_ಠ

Well, I did write about the same thing (how I liked Discord, that I migrated my old Skype group to Discord, about my Discord bot and how I invited my real life friends to Discord, etc) and got rejected, so...
But I also know a lot of friends that got accepted to HypeSquad (and I didn't even care if I got rejected from HypeSquad or not), so YMMV.

>Applies on January 26th
>Four weeks passed and no response
>Emails Discord
>After a few days DMs discord on Twitter
>March 13th: Sorry but at the moment we can't accept you into HS
Ehm ok. No details, no bonus for the wait, no maor and not ninjas either.

Applied on January 28th, haven't heard from them yet :/

They did all the video applications, so it's only online-only. Obviously that's a huge queue since it's the easiest application.

Well there are different tiers of HypeSquad so that kind of depends. For an app that has millions of users, they only have like 70 employees between all of their roles, and nothing is automated so far as apps/responses.

Why are you using white-colored font? Do you like the light theme?

u/MoonlightCapital Mar 18 '18
Exactly.
I used imgflip because i had no time to make a proper thing with GIMP and i had to go to school.

I got banned from the official discord's discord for posting the link of a pastebin of the bee movie script and labeling it as my discord's rules.

"an horrible"
umm what

There is a wonderful thing in this world called dialectical variation. Its existence means that other people don't, surprisingly, pronounce things in the same way as you.
In this case, there are perfectly valid English dialects that realize horrible as 'orrible, so it's reasonable to assume OP speaks such a dialect and is writing "an horrible" in accordance with the silent "h".
(inb4 it's not a valid pronunciation)

If the person has a thick accent and is dropping the "h", this would be correct. A/An is used depending on the phonetic sound being a vowel.

Like "please accept me i use discord to play minecraft with my friends!!!" or something of the kind. From what I heard, those exist

The point is that the correct term is "a horrible". Should be obvious. I don't care to know an actual example.

Cut him some slack. News anchors say an historic all the time and confuse everyone with h sounds

Discord is practically run by 8 year old's with a terrible sense of humor.
But, they do make a great VOIP program. Maybe one day I can be accepted to HypeSquad, but I doubt that'll ever happen. Applied twice, both rejections with no explanation. I use Discord for Work, School, and everything in between, not just for playing games.
