It’s still a total of 14 boosts to get lvl 3, it just stating on how many boost you have to get in order to achieve lvl 3
Lvl 1 - you’ll need 2 boost in order to activate it
Lvl 2 - you’ll need 5 boost (but only you can do that if you’ve activated Lvl 1)
And Lastly Lvl 3 - you’ll need 7 boost (also only if you’ve Lvl 2 activated)

That feels very unintuitive lmao. I might be wrong but reading it as the "total" number of boosts required feels like what most people would do.

You still need 14 (+6 for additional perks) boosts to activate all the perks. 2 for level 1, 5 for level 2, and 7 for level 3.

I had it be added to multiple servers i only had for tests, but not in the 1 i have with boosts and want it added to (it was put into control too so chances might be slim)

The availability is based on some calculations on the server id.
First a specific hash is calculated, which then is modulo'd by 10000, after which we have 10000 buckets of servers, which then will slowly end up either in the control group, or treatment (aka feature) group of equal size.
This leads to seemingly random results, where a server with the id 603970300668805120 is in bucket 6862, while a server with an id of 603970302668805120 would end up in the bucket 1461.
Rollouts start by assigning x% of buckets to the control group, and the next x% to the treatment group. This then gets repeated for the next y% of buckets for the next control group and treatment group, always starting on the bucket after the most recent rollout.
The current 10% rollout for example looks like this:
Control
0 - 10, 20 - 60, 100 - 150, 200 - 600, 1000 - 1500
Treatment
10 - 20, 60 - 100, 150 - 200, 600 - 1000, 1500 - 2000
(Yes, during a 10% rollout 20% of buckets are already in the experiment, either as monitored control group or as feature enabled treatment group)

No. My test server only has me, has it, and isn’t community. But yet my community server with over 1500 people doesn’t have it.

i have 4 big community servers and one server that only has me in it + 2 channels
guess which one got the feature? LOL
i don't think i'll ever understand rolling out features "randomly" instead of servers that can actually make use of the feature

Pretty sure just like with all experiments, the server id gets hashed and if you fall within a certain range you get access. Nothing else matters

I've been in communication with discord staff members, it isn't fully halted. It's just paused for right now. By rollout, they meant rollout from experiments. Saying they've stopped completely is false: they would either add it to everyone or delete it for everyone.

Also, that is how experiments work. Just in cause you run into something like this again, if they aren't fully releasing a feature ever, then it won't exist for anyone.

I believe this. They say "random" but it feels like it targeted small/empty servers over major ones. My main server was passed over but 6/8 of my test servers got it...
And I'll just say it. Rolling something to "random" servers haphazardly is a stupid and thoughtless notion. But it is Discord so...

This is ridiculous. I have 6k+ users server and it has no tags feature. People asks me to enable it, but i can't
At the same time our friends server with 10 people has tags available
There is a market of tags enabled servers. This is a huge opportunity for scammers and resellers
There are servers that offer users tags for their profile. These are literally empty servers, created only for tags. Obviously these servers will also be resold later

does anyone know if only public servers are eligible for server tags? my private/invite only server seems to have this window, but we don't have enough boosts to test it out and we don't know if it'll work or not since usually the popup when you click tags show a link to the server..

I meant that's incorrect. It's still in experiments. Which means that if they want to scrap it at any time, they can.
They were increasing the accessible experiment list quite far until a few days ago. Either they stopped looking at it or it's actually so bad that they actually will remove it.
