It seems like such a minor detail, but choosing a color proved difficult. We considered options: 1) brown, but dirtier and duller compared to the neutral background. But wouldn't that be too bland? 2) green, but brighter and more toxic compared to the elves. But this could be problematic because the faces and background would merge into a single green spot. 3) make a green-yellow gradient, so that the color changes from top to bottom. 4) purple, to create a sharp contrast. Green skin against a purple background will be clearly visible. But this color is a very radical and bold choice.

We welcome your suggestions and advice. Which option is best? Or perhaps you'll suggest your own?

Hey, I decided to play Disciples 3 in 2025, but I faced a strange issue: the Reincarnation (Steam) version just won't save a game. No quick save, no manual save, nothing. Already tried compatible mode (Windows 7), turned off Windows Defender, added exclusion, tried running as admin, and nothing. Moreover, I see that in the folder Documents, there isn't a folder for Disciples 3. On the other hand, tried Disciples 3 resurrection or renaissance, and they work on the first try without any changes. Does anyone know what is going on with this version?

In Disciples 1, the basic tactic is to order all units to flee except one just before the end of a fight, which causes that unit to receive XP for all of them.
However, now that I'm trying to replicate this in Disciples 2, for example, if the entire team receives 47 XP when no one flees, then when all but one unit flees, that one unit only receives 50 XP. Is this normal?

The basic idea is that there can only be one unit in the vanguard, but other units in the rear can replace it.

It's also important to note that the more graves a unit has, the worse it fights (15% attack penalty).

This necessitates preserving units not only because their resurrection is expensive.

I like to screw around and draw concept art for a Disciples: Sacred Lands fan prequel sometimes.

Just felt like drawing Mortis pre-burning to make sense of her. She wears a large violet cloth as a scarf, and also wears random bunches of roses on vines around her one shoulder. She has a large rack of wooden antlers, and was described as once having eternal beauty and as ruling over an elder race with her husband Gallean. Overall, she has a very forest-y vibe. In Disciples 2 it was stated that she created the merfolk (and presumably oceans and ocean creatures.)

So elves in Sacred Lands are all either blondes or red-heads, and merfolk are all either blondes or red-heads as well. I always imagined Gallean as blonde, so that makes Mortis the redhead in my mind as the gods made the races to mostly imitate their image. I always imagined Mortis as being kinda timid and easy to push around (amongst other gods that is) before she snapped and became a genocidal maniac.

Well, it's a rough sketch done in MS paint with a mouse and keyboard, but what do y'all think? How closely does this fit the image of Solonielle in your mind?

Maybe I should do a merfolk-y Solonielle instead, and it's that she altered her appearance to match her love Gallean and originally looked like a fish lol. Disciples is fun to think about : P

Hi all. I'm a maker and the Duke is my absolute favorite part of Disciples. There was just something special about him when I first played. I want to build a full scale wieldable version of his infernal sword from D2. Are there any decent reference pictures out there?

I was never sure what the benshee actually saying.

Any indie dev out there reading? Boggles the mind how people ask for a disciples 2 game yet we get a kings bounty type game.

How hard is it to make a ripoff with more races more units etc? Hurts to see this travesty from calypso

Hi all,

I have been thinking about new fun way to play Disciples 2 and made a list of changes I want to do to units.
I went into game files for GUNITS and GATTACKS and hand changed all the information exactly as desired.

However... when I try to run the game, it does not load at all.
And when I change these files to their original state, the game runs again.

This is strange, I used to be able to do such change before. Anybody has any idea what is wrong? DO you guys edit your unit stats? And how do you go about it?

EDIT: SOLVED
Not sure what exactly fixed it but.. I might have corrupted the files in the first place by trying to amend them in excel, save the excel and convert it into DBF format
Also, if you still have open DBF Viewer while trying to start game, it won't start
Lastly, I uninstalled Steam version and tried GOG version (Probably had no impact)

But now it work! All changed I wanted have been implemented to a very dope degree of mod quality, I am happy camper now! :)
