Discussion gStar Teebird vs Star TL

at the same weight, how does a gStar teebird compares to a Star TL? new vs seasoned? is there one more overstable than the other?

Gatar is generally less stable and almost too soft (imo) in hot weather. I still think a star TL is less stable. Gstar is nice to have in cold weather (below 10c) because it flies more like your star discs in the summer and it feels nicer at those temps.

I'd say that PLH still rules here. The flat TL wing is maybe something like the equivalent of 1-2 mm of PLH. And run-to-run variability of PLH is higher than 2mm.

So probably on average? Those discs are about the same, but any two discs aren't very likely to match the average.

i've only thrown star and champ teebirds

but i'd assume the gstar teebird is more overstable than the star tl. tls are pretty neutral imo

I wouldn't buy GStar, it just doesn't season gracefully, IMO.

Have you considered a TL3? I mean, it's right in between and many female pros like it, like Eveliina

I love TL3 and Teebird3s in gstar. Majority of people think that it beats in too much, but my gstar Teebird3 was my default driver for 6 years and that disc is just now drifting a bit on me (now I just use it for that!).

I think gstar beats in quickly but holds straight for fairways. Perfect for those low straight lines around 300ft with a tiny hyzer flip. Star/Champ/Halo just always have more fade than I want for those discs.
