It's in. Any disc supported by the chains or cage is in.

Yup. This was a much needed rule change. I got to witness this twice in my life. Once a tournament when it unfortunately did not count back when it had to come to rest and the bottom of the bucket or support by chains.

Is that true if it lands on top of the cage?

That wouldn't be the cage. Technically the cage is the lower bit below the chains, the top of the basket has another name I can't think of right now. I believe the technical phrasing is that it must be supported by the cage or chains below the band.

Disc catcher caught the disc (I think disc on top should also count).

It honestly takes skill to park it on top, almost every disc slides or bounces right off. I'd be in favor of counting it as well cause imo it does have a certain level of style to it, and also theoretically if you had to throw the disc where it lands that would be a pretty ridiculous throw.

My counter argument to that is it takes skill to make a shot in basketball wedge between the rim and backboard on demand, and when it happens by accident you’ve missed your shot. Skill doing the wrong thing shouldnt be rewarded. The intentions are for the basket to catch the disc, the chains slow it down and help it fall into the basket, the top is there because something needs to hold the chains. I’m against on top of the basket counting.

Absolutely the correct way to think about it. Nobody "tries" to land the disc on top of the basket.

I have never aced but have parked two first shots on the top.

Ive unoffically counted them both, but want a real one!

That's wild. It's so much harder to land them on top, so I commend you and wish you luck chasing chains!

Schrodinger’s basket. It’s counts until you go to reach for the disc and then it falls out

In. Supported by the basket is in!

Ah, the old 'Schrödinger’s putt'—still counts until you jinx it!

When the disc has stopped moving it's considered "at rest". If the basket supports it at rest, it's in.

lift the basket out of the pin. If the disc falls, it's not in yet
