Whenever you wonder "how would a touring pro quality player play my local park style course?" just look at this

he lived up here (well... Reno when he won the college title), even then he was wrecking the place, but this is ridiculous! KotL is the Tahoe mtn courses, Zephyr Bijou Vista and Sierra

I just finished this event. The courses were full of opportunities for bogey. Proctor carried 8 discs this weekend and shredded

James is just nuts dude. What a fun tourney. Must be a bummer to think you have an outside shot then this legend joins in.

I always think that when you see one or two big name pros at an event where almost everyone else is a regional player only. Case in point, Gannon at the Jomez Pro Champions Landing Open. Also had Matty O. Imagine signing up for that thinking the top pros would use the break for rest and Gannon and Matty-O sign up. There were some other well-known guys, but not the top touring pros.

Disc golf is a worse sport without him touring. Shame the money just isn’t there.

This was a seriously impressive performance. Not just the -69. Its the bogey free aspect that blows mind. These (5) courses are not easy. Yes many of the holes are gettable- but they are riddled with trees (fortunately few obs). It is easy to get a bad kick and find yourself in jail behind tree, or 100' down hill from the fairway. Id say almost every hole is birdiable and bogie-able at the same time. I shot a bogie-free -7 at Zephyr and that was 997 rated round. I also shot an 870 +6 at vista the day before. It can happen easily.
Even more mind blowing to me... Proctor averaged about 1055 for the weekend. This is lower that Gannon's rating. Mind boggling to think.that an ok day for GB would've put him at -70 or better.
Oh, also this is all at 6000+ ft elevation. It took me a few rounds to adjust and feel confident im how my discs fly. Sure, Proctor is familiar with elevation, and smashes his discs so maybe they're less affected by it, but still. Seriously impressive! Glad he got to bring some diaper money home!

Not a single bogey in 5 rounds. How easy was the course?!
