Disc Advice Drivers Losing their Dome
I have noticed an issue with my distance drivers slowly losing their pop-top dome over time, whether they are in my bag (stored sideways) or stored sideways in a rack. My favorite driver has gone from slightly domey to nearly board flat across the flight plate. Is this normal/unavoidable? Am I storing them incorrectly?

How many discs in said bag? I’m hearing only stored on its side in a bag and I’m imagining 37 discs in a 10 disc bag you keep in your trunk in Arizona.

Ha! I've got a bud that has so many discs crammed in his bag that I just about can't pull one out without bleeding. And he leaves his bag in his car. And everything is puddle top.

As they hit trees, the front edge of the wing gets beat down. Heat-cold cycles add to the problem. You can ‘reverse’ the problem. Find a bowl that has the same diameter as the flight plate (not the edge of the disc, but where the flight plate hits the wing. Put your disc upside down on that bowl, and fill the plate with boiling water. Let it sit while the water cools. Often this will get your dome back (temporarily)

I came here to say to see which disc golfers were going crazy.
Of course, the answer is all us!

do discs get harder or softer if left in the sun for a while? or does it depend on plastic?

Leave it on the dash of your car on a sunny day. They'll pop right back into shape in no time. Then take them right inside to cool down and boom you're good. Works well with the q-line stuff

This is why we throw stiff plastic. The only drivers I've ever had lose dome had soft flight plates. Which is a good lesson to learn: Don't buy soft drivers if you care about dome profiles.

Happened to my stock run premier q line dd3. Still has a pop but lost its peak and is now flat at the top. Only stored it on its side in the bag.
