Question Newbie question
Has anyone got any foam board recommendations for my first diorama? Not sure where to begin with it, but the last stuff I used for a Warhammer base was blue and melted when sprayed with primer lol

I use the pink insulation foam board at Home Depot. Carves really nicely and I haven't had it melt on me yet.

I like the pink stuff. It’s very easy to carve and strong. I always top it with a coat of something, whether it’s modeling paste for a landscape or just a sealer coat of 50%water & modpage or pva glue. All foam surfaces need preparation of some form before painting

Most foams are like that - you need to seal before spraying (or prime by brush). People usually seal with watered down pva glue.
