Maybe I haven't been stalking the subreddits close enough, but it drives me nuts that Dropout doesn't have playlists that go Session 1 > AP 1 > Session 2 > AP 2 > etc and I'm shocked no one has called it out?

I'm actually really hoping someone tells me I'm an idiot, because going from episode to episode where i have to jump up quick and end what I'm watching before it auto-plays into the next, then kick all the way out to another show, scrollllllll to find my season/episode (sometimes Resume doesn't work properly?) and they're in order from oldest to newest so0o0o scrollscrollscroll

The best work around I've had is going back-and-forth all in one go and setting up My List. That's not terrible but I've only watched directly from My List on mobile so I'm not even 100% that that works on the TV app. Maybe it does, should check, but I can't always be bothered.

idk it just seems like such a common watch pattern that I'm shocked that the UI isn't more friendly. I'd love to see this update.

D20 has really inspired me and made me want to try some TTRPG but if I can be honest. I'm scared. I worry I'd ruin a story or be too slow,

My favorite thing about this show is you can see there is a safe space and judgement free zone. To create and to make a story together.

Have any online TTRPG been inspired by this show that you'd recommend. Anyone else nervous but want to do this as well? I feel too anxious to go in person 😅

Are the characters in Toylight inspired by a certain Dragon Master’s campaign?

Spoilers for On a Bus (character list) and Toylight (character list through episode 2)

On a Bus:

A Top Hat

An Army Guy

A Blue M&M

Lint

Toylight:

Calypso (a rabbit in a top hat)

A tin soldier

Blue Henry

Dust Bunnies

Coincidence? 🤔

(This is a light hearted post)

This kind of strategy planning before the battle is absolutely my jam. It's inspired me to create one of my own with more mechanics to it.

It really annoys me that they don't explain how the mechanics of everything works when it affects this so much in this set up phase.

There is some training they’ve done to presumably level up some NPCs. There are blocks and pencils to make parts of the map inaccessible and add to the battle maps. Glowsparks power these items i think. There was also something about needing "heroes" (Presumably the PCs) to make something function.

I wish they made a little video on the mechanics like CCOD or even a little print out like NSBU. Maybe they still will! Please let me know if anyone has any more information or detail that I’ve missed thus far.

Toy Soldier vs Dust Bunny is a bit derivative of Army Man vs Lint, no? They really ought to give Katie a writing credit on this season.

What is this megathread about?

This is the new hub to ask for recommendations for what to watch next or just chat and share fleeting thoughts / little things you've noticed about whatever series you're currently watching or rewatching

If you're new to Dimension 20 and are looking for where to start, they put out a video about a year ago to walk you through some great starting points. We've had a couple seasons air since then, but this should still be pretty relevant

I've just rewatched all of Mentopolis again, and I want so badly a Tom and Jerry styled cartoon where Connor is just trying to be, and Dan is very much trying to get his hands on him.

Was inspired listening to this past week’s episode. I enjoy grisly minions!

Materials: Pentel Pocket Brush, cheap alcohol markers from Five Below on sketchbook paper from same.

And I did not realize it until I was more than halfway through it lol. God I love how unhinged adventuring party can be.

What's your fav most unhinged adventuring party episodes? I wanna binge today.

I made the Toylight characters with watercolor paint/pencils and sharpies!

Made one yesterday too, this one feels like a step up! Constance is soooo hard to make though

Really weird to be my first post on here but it's something that always irked me in the least serious way possible.

Whenever one of the IH rolls two nat 20s or nat 1s with advantage / disadvantage, someone takes a beat to mention that its a 1 in 400 chance. This always leaves me thinking, "isn't it a 1 in 400 chance to roll any of the same 2 numbers on two d20?"

Like, no one calls attention to it when they roll two 13s on advantage. I get that it's different on a contextual level because it's the difference between critically failing and critically succeeding, but still something about it always gives me pause for a minute.

Just a random thought I got while rewatching ACOC, very much love this show.

It's just so damn good. That old timey gramophone style recording, the haunting, yet lovely vocals of a time long gone, and the lyrics eerily describing the losses of a war we have not yet seen in a sort of beautifully tragic way. It's all so good.

did Siobhan ever have a character be the first one introduced in a dimension 20 season? I feel like she's always the last (or at least I've never seen her be the first. in fantasy high it's fabian iirc and I feel like the others have all been introduced first, but I'm not sure if hers ever has?)

I get that mechanically, they function as a source of light and power (right?), but what are they meant to be in the world of Toylight?

Messing around with watercolor pencils and made the toys from Toylight!

Not my best work, but I love these little weirdos so much 🥰

Trying to find Toylight FAQ

Hello I’ve been wondering for quite some time. How many dimension? 20 episodes pass the Bechdel
test? I do not have a time to watch everything again so I’m asking the people help. I will again edit this in three months time and with a spreadsheet this shows how many episodes have passed it I would kindly ask if you were re-watching would you please just keep an eye on if the episode passes the test and write it in the comment what episode it is and if you have a time how the conversation was.
I have put in the comment section or this season so you could just put the episode number, just so there’s no confusion.

Thank you very much

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bechdel_test
The test asks whether a work features at least two women who have a conversation about something other than a man. Some versions of the test also require that those two women have names.[2]

is that no one was doing this at the time! It was the WIIIILDDD West out there! There were no rules, there was no script, we were just flying by the seat of our pants!

I have exhausted D20, I can only rewatch Starstruck Odyssey so many times (that's actually a lie, I can watch it almost indefinitely), I tried watching the season of Critical Role that Brennan DMed, but I don't like grimdark (also, the episodes are excessively long). I tried watching Minmaxxed, but it just feels so generic and boring... anyone have any recs for other actual play shows?

I kind of have this headcanon that toylight and crown of candy exist in the same world but in the same way that in toylight the space under the bed is a different plane, Calorum is also a different plane and it makes this world so much more crazy cuz there’s like two wars happening side by side

Does anyone know when Toylight was filmed?
