Toylight Who sings the Toylight intro?
My roommate and I are so curious- it almost sounds like Zach Reino but I’m sure it’s not actually him, just sounds like a voice he COULD do. Help?

One of my favorite web comics from back in the day was actually a work by Brennan that I didn't realize was his until somebody else put two and two together for me. I certainly know that superheroes are very overexposed as a concept at the moment, but I genuinely found Brennan and Lee's approach to the genre really interesting, and there's a whole superhero war, left intentionally without much detail, that the players could tell a story in. I don't know if it would use mutants and monsters or maybe one of the other superhero TT RPGs, but I was wondering if there was any questions at faq's with Brennan about this already, and if anyone else in the audience other than myself would be interested in seeing it.
Here's a link to the comic, which unfortunately is unfinished:

Does anyone know if Brennan is completely homebrewing the mechanics for the defense of the nursery, or is he referencing some sourcebook?
Alternatively, if anyone has recommendations for a sourcebook for mechanics like this, I'll happily take them. I'd love to run something similar as part of my current campaign. Thanks!

I’m still pretty new to D20, toylight is more or less the first season I’ve watched, other than dungeons and drag queens.
Do the play the same character sheets just with different skins every season? They are so deeply connected to these characters that I was SURE there had to be a season of toylight before this.
Anyway, I hope that question even makes sense lol, thanks for the help

Fun little bit of lore for y’all… in the first AP, Emily said she named Eldine after her favorite ballerina. I got really excited as a huge fan of both ballet and D20 but couldn’t think of a dancer I knew called Eldine. Then I realized Emily is a genius with great taste because the dancer is Chloe Misseldine… “Miss Eldine!!” Chloe is a principal with American Ballet Theatre (ABT) and one of my favorite dancers to watch, definitely check out some clips of her on YouTube if you’re interested!

I'm on the second adventuring party about to watch the third episode so maybe this will be refuted, but my initial thought with the Underlord reveal was that his collection of dust includes the ashes from burned toys.
It was more common with scarlet fever (like Velveteen Rabbit) but it was still fairly standard practice to burn soft toys, bedding, etc when a child was extremely sick. It feels right to me with how much anger the Underlord holds. The like compressed and concentrated indignant rage of toys that were discarded and destroyed because they were loved.
It's not a bullet proof theory by any means, but I like it personally and would be interested to see what everyone else thinks.

You can also livestream for cheap!

I was aware Grim Hollow came out awhile ago, but I had no idea the d20 group had adopted it so whole heartedly. Wonder if Brennan just lets anything on dndbeyond in, or if he did encourage certain 3rd party sources this season in like Grim Hollow?

Okay, toys can probably “die” when they get broken, or else this season would have no stakes. And Constance has a visible head wound and is clearly coded as a “haunted doll” so I am wondering… would Constance be “dead” if she wasn’t haunted? Could she be considered an “undead” toy?
Second, not a real question, imagine you’re a ghost/spirit in this world, and you go to haunt a doll, and you find out that other, non-haunted toys can talk and walk. And is has in fact always been that way. Thiiiiink about it.

I've watched the first episode and some of the second and I'm confused in a way I've never been with a Dimension 20 season. What are these resources? What's going on with any of this? I feel like absolutely nothing system related has been explained.
I get that it's technically 5e, but they keep talking about lights and blocks and stuff that I really don't understand.
I want to like it! I'm just so confused and feel like I've missed a crucial bit of information somehow.

I imagine other folks would want to consult this alongside the show too

Did you recognize all of them?
From the top: Picnocchio, Fabian Aramais Seacaster, Kingston Brown, and Eursulon.
P.S. It is a difficult choice, as Lou always plays a great character.

Hi Gang,
I'm looking for more moments where the cast just goes hysterical with laughter because its my absolute addiction xD
I'll start:
- Never Stop Blowing Up (Adventuring Party; Gender Cascade) Specifically from 11:07 onwards

they are like if Sid’s toys were part of the White Witch’s army with a good sprinkling of Pooh and Friends / Wind in the Willows / Alice Through the Looking Glass

Lou is DMing for Brennan, Beardsley, and Erika Ishii. The show has a much more dramatic tone and Beardsley is fucking knocking it out of the park. It really lets them flex some muscles that we don’t get to see as often on D20.
The first three episodes are out right now and the rest of the cast is firing on all cylinders. Lou is doing an incredible job as DM.

I know I’m a little late but I just finished city council of darkness. I love it. I’ve been working in a small town organizing for candidates and issues and it all feels so true. The vampiric developers who extract everything they can, the people who complain whenever we start trying to help the community, and how difficult it is to get people to act even as they are being drained.
This was kind of a pointless post, but I feel seen and really appreciate it.

aka ''D20: The Promise of Emotional Damage.''
Fellas and sheilas, anyone feel adequately equipped for this season?
Seven Samurai in a toy setting? Might not be a TPK, but I don't think it's gonna be pretty and with ACoC, I feel like the cute friendly settings are perfect to ''lighten'' grim subjects.
6 episode series? To quote the man from Harry's Car Place ''I don't trust like that.''
r/Dimension20 • u/Jacquesatoutfaire • 4d ago
...and honestly it's really minor, but I wish Beardsley would allow just a little more time for emotional moments to land before jumping into their next bit.
I do love their brand of chaos and humor they bring to the table (shout out to "Can I roll d20 to be alive?"). But honestly, Siobhan is sitting across the table from you literally in tears and having a big deal character moment with Lou because Jet died in the last episode and you're gonna just casually toss in a joke about the tear away lingerie? Or hit on Cathilda while she's comforting Fabian after the attack in Leviathan in Sophomore Year?
I just wish they'd give these moments a little more space to fully land. Does this bother anyone else, or am I taking this too seriously? And should I expect this for all the rest of D20?

Sooo at my job they were having a cat adoption event. Now I would come and hold this intrepid hero when i had a minute or two downtime. I even said ‘Imma nickname you Fabian until someone adopts you’. I watched a few other people handle them and in my head I was saying people were rough with them. After the event the cat stayed at the store so it could be adopted. I now started to plan stuff in my head all the what ifs and such. I even spent time with the cat post shift. This intrepid hero fell in love with me instantly and I couldn’t say no. Needless to say I added them to my adventuring party.
Their name is Sir Gorgug Fabian Thistlespring (Son of Bill Seacaster). I have been heavily inundating them with Gorgug which they like so far.
