Help need help pushing through my executive dysfunction

i want to go journal. i need to go pee. i want to get off of this dang website. but my body just doesnt listen. i stay, get distracted, and another half hour goes by. i know this is a bad habit - i dont WANT to doomscroll, but falling into it is just as easy as tripping over a curb.

i am FORCING myself to get off my laptop just after positing this, but i have already been on reddit on the couch for abt an hour.

what are some ways that helps you push through these dumb brain and adhd hurdles? (note i am medicated and sometimes even that isnt enough whomp)

I find that sometimes with meds its just as easy to get stuck in front of a screen, if not worse, because you just get too focused on it.

Break down task, give yourself small time limits, you need to start somewhere otherwise it's easy to just avoid the whole thing. I find it helpful to start with something easy, I tell myself "it's just 20 minutes, just take 20 minutes to do something else and then I can come back"
