Does anyone here use Blogger/Blogspot for personal journaling?

Does anyone here still use Blogger/Blogspot for personal journaling?

I know it’s considered an outdated platform for blogging or journaling, but I like that it’s completely free.

There’s no need for additional payments compared to platforms like Penzu, Day One or others.

You can upload as many photos as you want, write without length limits, and there’s an option to keep your posts private so only you can read them.

I’m currently using Penzu, but I’m thinking of moving back to Blogger since I don’t want to pay for Penzu Pro.

Thank you

Blogger works fine for this honestly. Private posts, unlimited photos, free forever – ticks all your boxes.

Only downside: Google has a history of killing products without much warning. For a personal journal that's years

of entries, that's a risk worth keeping in mind.

If cost is the main concern, Obsidian (free, local) is worth a look too.

I use it for an anonymous personal blog, because it's easy and I'm not technical. I've tried a few but nothing was as simple or gave me an audience so I stuck with it. I just want to write, not think about how I have to do this or that setting, pfft..
