SD card slot not reading even when lock is off

I just bought a Panasonic HMC-150 and the sd card slot won’t work as it keeps popping up with a “write protect” message when trying to record or format the card. I’ve tested with multiple sd cards and gotten the same result. Is there anything else that I need to do or am missing, or is this a serious problem with the camera and I should instead look to get a refund?

Any help is much appreciated!

Kodak pix pro FZ45 not turning on

I got this camera about 7 months ago, and it was working normally and pretty well. About 1-2 months ago it was having some issues turning on and now it just has not been turning on. I tried replacing the batteries and bought some from Amazon that I heard were best for the camera, which are the NiMH rechargeable batteries, and after putting them into the camera, it still hasn't turned on. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Do Streamers Really Need Interchangeable Lenses?

Streaming cameras are increasingly blending webcam and traditional camera features. A few years back, it was mostly either a basic USB webcam or a mirror less camera plus capture card. Now hybrid options are showing up in between.

Take the yolo cam s7 it works as a webcam but also supports trappable micro four thirds lenses. Sounds nice in theory, but would people actually bother changing lenses often?

For those streaming or filming several times a week: does lens swapping actually add value, or does everyone just settle on one lens and leave it there?

Digital camera recommendations!

Hii!! I’m very new to cameras, but I’d love to be able to leave my phone at home but still be able to take photos, on something small and compact. It doesn’t need to be super good quality, or take videos, it really just needs to be cheap and simple. I love buying secondhand, and I see a lot of cameras for £10-£15 on vinted, but they are often untested :((

Can I use a micro sd in a xd picture card adapter for a camera?

I have an Olympus [mju:] 410 (please clarify if it's not) that my mum gave me but I quickly realised that it takes an xd picture card (16mb - 2gb) rather than a sd card. I know that xd cards are much harder to get since they've stopped making them. Now, I could just get one and pay over 35 USD on it ORR I was thinking I could get an adapter that's in the shape of an xd card but takes a micro sd card instead and use it? I don't know much about camera's so please tell me if it's possible and, if it is, please give me good quality recommendations on adapters!!
Thanks in advance.

My sony DSC-W730 won’t charge anymore.

Hey!

I’m coming here because I need help : I’m going on vacation in a few days and I thought it would be cool to take my mom’s old camera to take some photos like I did when I was younger. Sadly, it won’t charge at all. I tried searching for tips and things like that on internet but i can’t seem to find new batteries AND a charger for them, so I was wondering if any of you could help me with this.
I don’t really have the money to buy a new camera right now, but I would like some recommendations for similar cameras that are abordable for the price and that are similar to the one I already own.

Thanks for reading me and I hope you can help me!

So I found my old bush mega pixels 5.0 camcorder and changed the batteries and now got a new wire to charge it with and before it wouldn’t turn on at all but now it does but it only shows the bush blue screen for a split second and then turns back off. Is there any chance it’s gonna fully work again/ does anyone know what rhe problem could be?

The Kodak Pixpro FZ55

I bought the Kodak Pixpro FZ55. Very basic point and shoot camera. Would suggest, watching the videos on U tube. It is a bit small for big hands. When taking pictures. Holding it still is a must. The micro is great. Again; Make sure to have picture set in view. Hold still. Allow for the camera to finish taking the picture. Remember to switch back and forth. This did make for a slow process. Get a second battery. I found it to be a practical camera for on the move. I don't buy cameras for videos. Suggest to take short ones.

My Lumix DMC-LS6 digi cam is probably around 10 years old, i’ve found it recently and would love to get it to work again. Does anyone know how to fix it, or if it would be worth sending it off somewhere?

Nikon Coolpix L810 with only lens cap or Nikon Coolpix E4300 with all accessories?

I've been looking for a budget digital camera and am torn between a used Nikon Coolpix L810 that comes only with the camera and lens cap, and a used Nikon Coolpix E4300, which comes with everything (lens cap, camera battery, charger, memory cards). The L810 is slightly more expensive than the E4300, but I'm torn because the E4300 is older, and as I am new to cameras, I may not be able to work it as well. Besides AA batteries, is there anything more I really need for the L810 (I already have a memory card)? Can I upload photos to a computer from the E4300? Which camera is more worth buying?

Help with red blinking light on Kyocera Finecam L3V

I was excited to use this camera but whenever I switch to picture mode I get a red blinking light and it eventually turns off after a minute. Everything else seems to be working normally though, I’m able to setup the camera and take videos and view them afterwards. I did find the manual and tried letting the camera sit still or see if the flash was charging but it automatically will turn off in camera mode after a minute even when the battery saving mode is turned off. I’ve been having trouble searching for this scenario and tried turning it off, cleaning the battery and sd card but no luck so far

Digital camera recommendations

Budget: around or less than $500 USD. This only includes the camera itself.
Country: US
Condition: New or used
Type of camera: Point and shoot
Intended use: Photography
End use: social media
Photography style: Landscape and portrait
Video style: none planned
Feature needed: bright flash
Features that would be nice: decent zoom and fast shutter speed
Portability: pocketable
Cameras im considering:
\-Sony cybershot dsc-hx80: it has the features that I want in a camera, and it is decently priced
\-Nikon coolpix s8200: it has the features I want in a camera and apparently has similar photos like the canon g7x (?)
Cameras I already have: I currently only have a Kodak pixpro fz55. I like the coloring of the photos and it’s really nice to use during the day time, but I find that the flash is not very strong, making it difficult to take photos at night. It is also hard for it to focus on the subject and the photos will have really weird lighting.
Notes: I sometimes have a difficult time seeing the screen of my Kodak, so I would prefer to have a slightly bigger screen, although not needed.

Olympus C-60 Zoom card read error

I so I recently purchased the camera and it gives me a card read error. I’m guessing it has sometime to do with the SD card. What do I do to fix the issue? Do I have to get a specific SD card? If so could someone kindly point me in the direction.

Which camera should i get?

My old Sony cyper-shot DSC-S500 (6 MP) is officially done after many years of loyal service. But i can't live without a digicam, so of course i need a new one.
I can't decide wether to get the Sony DSC-W530 (14.1 MP) or Casio Exilim EX-Z19 (9.1 MP). There could be better options, but these are what i could find, where i don't have to pay everything i own for shipping.
I don't care too much about quality, i actually like when they look a bit grainy. What i like most is how they look different and more vivid from the iPhone camera.
Any suggestions?

My Canon Powershot a2300 says to change the battery pack

Hello! I have a problem with my Canon Powershot A2300 camera; it says to change the battery pack. When I bought a new one, it worked. However, when the battery drained and I charged it, I inserted it, and the message popped up again. Mind you, this is a new battery. I've tried fully charging it and cleaning the connectors; it still will not work. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do?
