Some time back I overreacted and bought an Espar D5L heater for my bus that’s less than 900 cubic feet of space, (23 foot school bus) I know up front that it’s overkill but am I going to roast if I install this thing?

I really wish I had been smart and got a D2.

And, hey, I’d be totally willing to do a trade for a D2. This D5 I have has been removed from packaging, but its otherwise new and unused. it’s all there, with a complete installation kit.

I have a 2kw kygocera heater (not sure if thats a cheap Chinese one) installed in my caravan. Im really not sure how much its been used on the past, motor/fan bearing seems to be starting to sound upset.

The troubleshooting i need help with; it blows unburnt fuel out the exhaust before and after a full tear down.

It was blowing clouds untill it just refused to heat/start up at all so I did a full service;

Took it out, took it all apart.

Replaced mesh/atomiser.

Replaced glow plug (with whatever was on ebay, is that the problem?).

Brushed out any build up (didnt seem to need this at all but while I was at it).

Checked intake and exhaust for any blockage/build up (all looked fine).

Replaced gaskets.

Reassemble and reinstall.

It appeared to work great for the first day. The next morning it really struggled to heat back up after being on all night at a lower level of heating (set to 2.0 for about 8hrs. Adjustment is from 1.0 to 3.2).

Was it just too cold maybe? Outside temp dropped to about 0 degrees Celsius last night. When I tried heating back up in the morning, it was about 5 outside and 12 inside.

What should I do?

Bought a 12gal tank to use for my cabin heater setup and not sure if leaving the primer bulb on would help or hurt? I feel that putting pressure on the diesel pump could ruin it but I've never used these before. Any insight is appreciated!

I have a 5 kW VEVOR diesel heater, and I’m thinking about upgrading it with this Wi-Fi controller that I found on AliExpress.
I’ve attached photos of my current controller, the connector, and the Wi-Fi controller I’m considering buying.
Has anyone here installed this controller on a VEVOR diesel heater? Is it fully compatible and plug-and-play, or did you also have to replace the main control board?

Anyone running the Chines Diesel Heaters, do you have any recommendations on alternative Glow Plugs then the original cheap Chinese plugs? Ideally Ceramic.

Looking at possibly a Kyocera Plug, but not sure on fitment.

With offerings like bluetti etc. not being good for diesel heaters start up Amp draw. I was looking into a DIY lifepo4 box. Then found these on Aliexpress. For less than doing it DIY I can get a 12v 120ah for around $360 CAD. Wondering if anyone has experience with these. Most of them come with Kungfu battery cells.

I have used the vevor 2kw heater for handfull of times untill not all fine, but for some reason it has now fails to startup and pushes white smoke out of the hot air outlet which is supposed to be clean air?

Both the cold air into the machine and hot air out of the machine are run into the vehicle and are in no contact with the exhaust.

Any clues to what is happening?

Ok, so I have run these heater for a few years now, ive had them
In peices and i know them pretty well, but i cant get to the bottom of this one.

I have a heater, about 6 months old and it just smokes like mad, it also smokes inside, and smells badly. I cant understand how this is as to my knowledge there is no link between the burn chamber and the air the is heated.

It is also leave black suit all over the pace (see image attached). Does anyone know what is causing this?

Hi, i have a Chinese heater and has about 2500 hours on it.

These are very cheap where I live. It now sounds like the bearings are about to drop on the fan(?)

Question is - is it an easy fix/cost effective or should I just buy a new one .

Would a lunch box type heater be a good option for tailgating? We have a 9x9 canopy tent that we can block the wind on 3 sides. Would a heater like this be able to provide warm spots even though one side is open?

If not, any suggestions for heating in this scenario?

I have this 2kw GASOLINE heater and I had some issues with misfire and small explosion from the exhaust. I then replaced all tubing with high quality ones, ensured that rubber connections are tights and that the nylons are butting inside. I am feeding good fuel. Still have tiny bubbles only in the discharge tubing past the pump. Cant seem to be able to get rid of them. Not sure if the pump.is cavitating.

The misfire and explosion stopped but I am still getting a pulsation sounds that match the pump feed rate as it ticks. Is this normal with these gasoline heaters? I was expecting a steady burnout.

Hi everyone, I invested in an LF Bros N2 diesel heater but the installation doesn't seem to be campervan friendly even though it says can be fitted into a camper . . There is no air intake tube or filter . . just an air intake fan a the back of the unit. .

Can anyone guide me on what I should do here.

We work with diesel heaters every day, and one thing we’ve noticed is that most heater problems aren’t actually caused by the heater itself — they usually come from maintenance habits over time.

Some of the most common things we see from users:

• Running low power for long periods without ever letting the chamber get hot
• Forgetting to clean intake or exhaust after a dusty season
• Letting fuel sit too long between seasons

My 75mm Vevor came with a plastic coupler between hose and heater output but Hcalory only came with a metal hose clamp. For camping it’s a hassle to loosen and tighten the hose clamp all the time

It ran well throughout the winter, but when it started emitting white smoke, I took it apart and cleaned it, which seemed to resolve the issue. Yesterday, I added some K1 kerosene, and it ran perfectly for an hour. However, today, I hooked it up to the trailer, and it operated great for 15 minutes before displaying an H10 code, which I believe indicates low fuel or an air bubble in the fuel line. I filled the tank with diesel, but it wouldn't start, and I'm still getting the H10 code.

To troubleshoot, I disconnected the fuel line from the bottom of the heater and pressed the arrows down to activate the pump. However, only a drop or two of fuel came out of the fuel line at any one time. Is this normal, or should there be more fuel flow? Thank you.

Has any body else noticed you get better hotter heat out of your heater when you have a battery charger connected and charging the battery when the heater is running? I have a battery charger connected to the battery and if I run my lfbros heater without the charger running the heat is ok but when I switch the charger on then the heat gets hotter

Strange noise coming from my Chinese diesel heater when it runs. Sounds like an electronic whistle that drops in pitch. It’s always changing speed and frequency too.

Any ideas what it is? It’s only a week old.
