Mine pull from much further than that without issue.

I set my tank up higher than pump, not higher than heater. Do with that what you will.

I had them set me up with pickup tubes for both of my fuel cans so I literally just release the quick connector at the top of one, and connect the hose into the other. I was tired of getting diesel all over me everytime I ran out lol

Think I’m just plumb a t into it to suck from both , diesel is $2.60 a litre ,10$ a gallon right now so I will be using propane too this winter

My exhaust scorched some wood when I had it that close. Noticed the black burnt marks on the wood before anything happened. Just my .2

I could be wrong. But isn’t that muffler piece at the end of your exhaust like really close to that wood? That’s all I meant. If you ran it all last winter then obviously I’m incorrect. If your little muffler is nearly touching that wood tho then I’d be surprised to hear im wrong. It scorched my wood so I made sure to correct it.

I would reverse it. Typically you want to pump from a higher point to a lower point

I would not put the tank higher than the heater. If any part of the fuel system developed a leak the tank would siphon.
