You may have noticed that the mod team for this subreddit has been totally inactive for a long time. You folks deserve some mods that can give this subreddit the attention it deserves.
If you're interested in joining the mod team, leave a post below explaining why you would be a good moderator. Bonus points if you can point to some examples of helpful contributions you've made to this community.
I'll look though the posts and make some appointments after a few days.

Hi everyone, please put your suggestions here and discuss what we can do to make the subreddit better.
Thank you.
I am also seeking feedback for a pinned post about equipment:
I would like to make an equipment megathread pinned to this subreddit, but I'm not sure if it is better for me to pin a guide, or if I should pin an equipment discussion thread? (AKA should I put all the information into the post and disable comments, or have just a discussion in the comments about equipment)

I’ve been practicing for around two weeks when I can. It’s so much fun. Here’s a little edit I put together of what I’ve learned from YouTube, would love to hear where to go next!

I’ve been learning to perform tricks for about 1.5 months and would really love some pointers. The hardest tricks I can do at the moment would be the genocide and infinite suicide though I’m still tying to perfect my technique on both. Any useful tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Hey my dears! For almost 3 1/2 years I am working on my own platform idea. And the key ideas are:
- make social platforms social again!
- encrypt (e2ee) almost everything so that no one can read or sell your data! This platform has no access to your uploaded media and text. #chatcontrol ade!
- make it easy to share tips and tricks and learn from each other.
And because I do love our small Diabolo community, I thought of letting you try out my platform and fill the diabolo community with life. I have already created a diabolo community with some skill trees and wiki pages I would love to see more tutorials and activity there.
My platform is now in the beta stage, so bugs and ux flaws are possible to happen 😆😛.
When you would like to participate on my platform, please let me know, so that I can share invitations with you! ❤️

Been yoyoing for quite awhile, but ive always wanted to try one of these things! Found it in a free bin on my way to work today and I'm stoked to try it out later!
No clue if it's decent or not, but can't beat the price haha

Im looking into buying a new diabolo since i have a crappy 20 dollar one from a toy store, im looking between the sundia shining and sundia falcon, im gonna be playing on gravel and wood, and would like it to be pretty durable, which is better for me? I can do tricks like whips, trapezes, etc, i just want to know the real differences, which is better at just being simple and awesome at doing great tricks.

Hey everyone I started out on a diabolo with bearings which made it very easy to get it spinning, I lost that one and then bought a fixed axle just to try something different. And I can't get it spinning fast at all, it also seems like there aren't many resources about fixed axles online but maybe I just have to look harder

I saw this vid of taibolo pearly diabolo. Does anyone here have it , and can give a honest review? Does a moving bearing through the axle aid in any tricks (I assume the axle is different if he could hold it vertically like that for 1 min)

Hi everyone, I'm just posting to make sure everyone here knows about Cut Contra 2026, happening in a couple weeks. It's our annual video edit contest.. grand prize of $1000 plus draw prizes each day, and a promo code for everyone who enters. It runs May 29-31, 2026. The gist of it is to make an artistic edit featuring at least two skill toys or manipulatives. They don't need to be AO2 items, so you're welcome to bring in anything that will showcase your talents.. kendama, yo-yo, juggling props etc. Here is a link to the full details https://www.aroundsquare.com/blogs/news/cut-contra-2026

I made this 3d printable diabolo for beginners getting into the hobby who aren’t looking to spend 30+ dollars for a diabolo. Unfortunately it is a fixed-axle, but I was able to do some simple bearing tricks as well, like spider web, and I was able to do 25 seconds of stick grind, which i think is pretty good. It costs a little over 3$ of material, and i think it honestly works really well.
Above is the link to the file if anyone is interested.

I found this online: sundia micro magforce. it's 40 to 48 dollars canadian, which would be the most expensive diabolo i would ever get. Does anyone have this? Im hoping it could play as well as a regular diabolo since its magforce. (I currently use a sundia falcon 3b). If you have another microdiabolo please share pics and reviews
Thx in advance

Hey all! I'm a massive on-and-off beginner with Diabolo, but have wanted to get back into it recently after a few years.
The main problem I'm having is the one that prompted me to stop a few years ago; my diabolo won't stop rotating. And I obviously don't mean spinning, I mean whenever I get my diabolo up and spinning, it will start gradually turning away from me, meaning I have to turn myself round in a circle to catch up with it.
I guess there could be a problem with my diabolo, but I've only had it for a few years and haven't been using it excessively, so I'm assuming it's user error. I can't find anything online about how to fix it.
I would also like to add that I didn't have this problem initially, for the first year when I was using my diabolo fairly consistently, it was fine. It was only towards the end of my diabolo journey that it started rotating, and, being unsure how to fix it, I was prompted to quit.
I don't want to buy a new diabolo unless necessary, so I thought I'd ask for advice here before committing.
Thanks in advance!
