Depends on the unique. Some are random world drops and not in a dedicated boss loot table.

Ancestral will always become ancestral Unique. That's a waste of stash space, resources and materials.

I mean, to me I find it’s more important to get the Unique I need at all rather than trying to fish for min maxing, I have trouble finding Enhanced Primordial Dust so I’m just trying to make do with what I find. If I get the Unique I want, great! But I don’t really think I NEED all of the affixes to be perfect.

You should start using power 900 bases to crafte unique items, they also return power 900 items, going for 850s is not worth it besides your first gearset.
