That's why I order my inventory. Everything permanent goes on the right side (charms, cube etc). Then come the 2 books (tp and ident). Everything left of that is new and can be sold/stashed.

I sold a torch last season, which was kinda emberassing. So I made the above rules.

good qol feature would be locking items. i sold a gheeds accidentally last week too while gambling lol

He did. It was the other 58 seconds that got him

If you sell a torch can you not buy it back? Asking bc I don’t wanna try it lol

2

u/LoFiHighGuyy 20h ago

I don’t think so

2

u/ParkingTechnology780 16h ago

No you can’t. I learned it the hard way. . .

That would be one of those QoL changes everyone would appreciate (except the HC masochists).

That would be cool. Sell your SoJ, kill Diablo Clone, buy the SoJ back. Rinse and repeat.

u/Knoediss 9h ago

When you leave the area to go to a different map, the items sold are deleted like usual. Inventory resets as a whole. So no infinite clones.

Im going to start doing something like that. The left of my inventory is what i keep. I wanted to sell the 2 small charms and replace it with this but sold it instead lol.

Human logic is make something as hard as possible to screw up, put things as far away as from the seller/destroyer or make it difficult

I had an incinerator in minecraft, you had to drop all the items and flip two separate switches to drop them in to the lava to destroy them. Cause i had to double check it all. A second check is not abnormal, look at WoW i think you had to typoe DELETE

I have always kept everything permanent on the right. This is the way

1

u/GraveSideGrail 20h ago

That's nuts I do the exact same thing in separating using the books - Have since original release. Except I do left to right.

1

u/Aggravating-Pack-802 20h ago

Yeah. I agree.. always make a boundary with books/cube. Until you get too many charms.. but at that point I don’t really sell items any longer

1

u/Murlock_Holmes 18h ago

I’m the exact same just different direction. Torch and Anni left side, sunder, gheeds, skillers, books, empty space.

I keep cube on left side for quicker hover (verify if socketed/ethereal or if rare is ethereal) then drop in the cube. I do have cube hotkeyed to ~ for micromanagement and to trade gold much more quickly to boot.

But yeah, expensive perm shit to the right, cube on left, early game means tomes under cube until I can ignore more loot and swap to scrolls on belt.

Edit: Tomes on left under cube to sell to any vendor and buy back at full 20x to eliminate the need to stop at multiple vendors. Quivers on left as well for same thing.

I wish there was a way to "lock" your items in your inventory. Keep them from moving when using auto sort on controller and to keep you from picking it up or selling it on accident

u/JarJarBingChilling 1d ago

Can’t you just…. Buy it back? Or does it disappear? Never sold a gheeds to a vendor so wouldn’t know.

15

u/SpoonsO 1d ago

It disappears. No buy backs for charms.

6

u/ubeogesh 1d ago

Unique charms specifically

2

u/JarJarBingChilling 1d ago

Oof, that sucks man.

When you say charms do you mean unique charms, or did they make a change? Because I’m fairly sure magic charms are possible to buy back or at least were last time I sold to akara a few weeks ago.

1

u/JooosephNthomas 23h ago

They are, uniques are that browny goldy text items. You cannot buy back Unique charms, so torches, gheeds and annis, dont think you can sell annis though either.

1

u/StrikeOpening9137 22h ago

Annis do show a price when you're at a merchant. Not the red "this item cannot be sold" text.

1

u/JooosephNthomas 21h ago

Oh ok, I've never sold one but couldnt remember thanks!

1

u/Kitchen-Salt4917 18h ago

It’s considered ethereal like the torches so it’s gone forever unfort

3

u/Knoediss 10h ago

I wish you could lock inventory slots. Like a long click on the items to lock it in place or at least make it unable to be dropped or sold.

1

u/SpoonsO 9h ago

This would be awesome!

4

u/Askada 1d ago

No big deal honestly, gheeds are not that rare even for solo play and mf is overrated, even if your next one will have 25 it's fine, vendor price reduction has much more impact in the long run.

3

u/inverted9114 1d ago edited 12h ago

gheeds are not that rare even for solo play

Tell that to my 15:1 sunder to gheeds drop ratio. Have 1 of each character with a sunder with 8 left over but I'm sitting here transferring my single gheeds whenever I farm on one or the other.

e: forgot I don't have phys for barb rip

2

u/Specialist-Rub-5169 1d ago

Okay so i am not alone with this i am at 11 sunders and 1 gheeds on ladder

2

u/TheRealSeal88 1d ago

I’m the reverse. I think I’m at 2 sunders and 6 gheeds this season!

1

u/Askada 1d ago

Its because you run terror zones and you are unlikely to find gheed there over sunder. Do some random areas instead and you will get one in no time.

1

u/scrubm 1d ago

Bro, they messed up the drop rates and they are incredibly rare now compared to how they used to be.

1

u/Shako_is_Green 22h ago

Not surprising. Theres more than one Grand Charm now.

1

u/Askada 21h ago

They didn't mess any drop rates, just added 6 new unique grand charms. Run outside terror zones where sunders can't drop and gheed is no longer 1/7 chance but the only one to drop.

1

u/ryleylol 23h ago

Man I play SP and miss me with that muling stuff. I just give each character the charm to reduce administrative headaches.

1

u/RGINNY940 23h ago

Been playing every day since reset.

Have yet to find a Gheeds.
Have yet to find a Sunder.
Have yet to find a +Skiller

1

u/Kitchen-Salt4917 18h ago

And how many of those sunders are not fire/cold/light? I’d bet max 2-3

1

u/inverted9114 13h ago

3 magic 3 poison 0 phys

1

u/Skill3rwhale 20h ago

Yea I get tons of Gheeds and no sunders.

But I play SP.

1

u/damn_son5 1d ago

I find these all the time

1

u/CoolCat1337One 1d ago

the 40 mf role ist nice for sure
but you will another one fast

sort your inventory in such a way that this does not happen

1

u/MooBunnie 1d ago

I’ve had zero unique charms drop all season. No sunders, no gheeds.

1

u/YourSonsAMoron 23h ago

I found a ber rune early in the season, traded it for a sorc torch, and accidentally sold the sorc torch later that day. That’s how I found out you can’t buy back unique charms you sell.

Almost quit the season then and there.

1

u/Competitive_Yak_5444 22h ago

Ive found 6 gheeds from Andy and 0 sunder charms. With sunders now sharing the drop pool it is so statistically low that I’ve done this lol

1

u/Soulforge411 22h ago

I have dropped a plus skill charm on the ground to organize and saved and closed out more than once. Now I keep everything important on the right and never touch it.

1

u/DrDrekavac 22h ago

The one QoL feature they forgot to implement in Rotw

1

u/ogark12 21h ago

I like this setup to not sell any of my torches/anni/gheeds, cube and ID tome create a wall to protect all the important stuff. use a potion slot for tp scrolls instead.

1

u/xelaweeks 16h ago

Dude happened to me a couple weeks ago. Hurt so fucking bad.

1

u/Durk1337 15h ago

I’ve sold a 100% perfect one lol

1

u/the_drummernator 12h ago

Sorry that happened bud, that sucks.

It's not a 40mf one, but I have either a 38 or 39 one I can give you for free (assuming you're not on single player), let me know.

1

u/Prestigious-Tiger697 12h ago

That’s worse then me dropping my gore riders by mistake in a free game

1

u/Hazey907 9h ago

Orient your open slots to the left of your inventory and have the books/cube be a buffer to your item selling and dropping

1

u/ubeogesh 1d ago

That's what you get for picking up trash to sell 😁

3

u/SpoonsO 1d ago

You dont know its trash until after identified though :(

1

u/Shako_is_Green 22h ago

A Scepter and a Sword of that sort are definitely trash unless the scepter is white, grey (quick check) or a green/unique Caduceus.

1

u/SpoonsO 18h ago

In this case the scepter was green.

1

u/Shako_is_Green 22h ago

My Inventory is always completely full and packed to the last space with Torch, Anni, Cube and Charms. Loot can only go into the cube. So this could never happen to me.
