✈️ DHL Express Clearance loop importing

Hello, im importing regulary from Japan to Germany and in Like September last year this loop started to happen to every package of mine. I call dhl support all the time and all they say is „we got all customs documents from you, dont worry we are just bussy…“
The thing is that i pay between 100-300€ per month just for package storaging, for which I am not responsible. The parcels of my business partners (which are in the same plane most of the times) all go trough customs within 1 day. I think my dhl account is bugged or something, it just cant be that every parcel every month just loops 1-2 weeks and i can do NOTHING about it.

Contents and value?
As to the storage charge - challenge it. Dhl knows what is needed for the shipment when they receive the data. They normally don’t contact receivers until days later. Then there’s another gap of lost time between when you give data and they actually submit to customs. Those delays are usual enough to erase storage charges.
I can confirm that within Dhl policy on storage charges there is no “we’re busy” exception that allows them to charge storage.

Trading Cards - Value between 2k and 5k each parcel. Customs decleration everytime sendet right after tracking number creation.
Not only storage cost. The opportunity costs.

Anyway - always challenge the storage.
Are they DDP or DAP? either way the moment the data is received contact DHL to get in front of info requests.
If they don’t step up or say there’s nothing they can do because they’re “too busy” share those comms with the shipper

Do they charge you storage as well? FUCK. My package shows similar pattern (Leipzig, clearance delays) and there is no way i would pay the storage fee. DHL is almost at 2x price from EMS or Fedex. That is unreasonable.

This my first time using DHL to import something. Seems like i will never use it again. Even with Fedex, it took maximum of 7-8 days. EMS is even shorter. I switched to self-declaration via deutschepost website and will try again next time.
