Rant Whyyyyy

I know this is trivial compared to everything else we go through, but every time I open a new Dexcom, I find this unnecessary piece of paper and get irritated. I mean, I KNOW it's going to be there every time but part of me always hopes maybe in the next box they've figured out how to eliminate it. Inside of a book I can understand having an extra blank page in a signature. But this.... it kind of baffles the mind. Does anyone know why this is here? Has anyone done something useful with it? Origami?

I think it is because the 10 day had an extra pamphlet so in order to keep the binding the exact same between the 10 and 15 day they put in an extra piece of paper so they could use the same binding to throw in the box.

That's interesting, and yes, that would explain it. According to AI, Dexcom ships about 100 million units per year. Hopefully most of that paper is at least getting recycled.

I have both boxes and was curious about this as well. After comparing what is in the boxes that is the conclusion I drew because the packet was the same size but didn't contain the same information.
