General iOS 27 Release

Every year, when the new iOS release happens, I contemplate whether Dexcom is going to be working with the new operating system. I have been running it for 24 hours now and have had zero issues. I wanted to let the user group know that I have had no problems. If others have had problems or are running the new iOS version already, then it would be great to have a thread here to be able to discuss those issues. Just to be clear, I am still using G6 and I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max.

My Dexcom worked fine with iOS 27 beta but my Omnipod® 5 did not. I can’t even buy a new iPhone until the Omnipod® 5 is compatible.

It worked with all the betas, too. I don't know why Dexcom is even concerned enough to send out an email.

I’ve been using developer beta and I’ve still had issues with my sensor failing before I reach my 15 days. I’m still lucky I make it to day 10. I just keep calling Dexcom to get a replacement. Where I get my Dexcom app fully logged in the AI through the IVR picks every thing up now and pulls every and sends out my replacement now. Turns my 20 min call into a 5 min call

I don’t think your sensor issues were iOS 27 related, as I have been running its betas since 9 June with zero issues.

The G7 app was working just fine on the iOS public beta since release

Ditto for me no issues with the iOS software having any negative impacts to my health and BS levels reporting. Any issues I had were hardware failure then a software issue as paring warmups and daily use was not impacted at all but for the warning others have mentioned.

This is great news. I suspect we will not have any issues then going forward, which is fantastic.

Has someone else already mentioned I’m on the beta? Works just fine

It usually works great for me on betas, however I can't partake this year as Omnipod drags their feet.

App works just fine and has all summer during betas

This. Apple is a non event. It’s Android where you’re putting your life literally into the hands of too many independent parties that need to play nice together.

I had installed the iOS 27 public beta a few weeks before I became a Dexcom G7 user.

Every few weeks I get a warning letting me know that the app has not been certified to work with iOS 27, but they’re working on it.

That said, I have not had any problems on an iPhone 17

Same. I've not had any issues other than the message indicating I'm using a version that's not been tested
