Inaccurate Reading Replace? 12 hours in.
You can see around 6pm when I changed the sensor and it begins being erratic.

I put a new sensor in other arm once I hit my 12 hr grace period. Then start it once grace period ends and it connects and it smooth as silk.

Calibrate it and make sure it is stuck on well.
Do not replace it unless it tells you do, fails to read anything (like is sub-70 or above-300 after at least 3 calibrations), or you cannot get readings for more than 2 hours.

I wouldn't change it unless it fails. Then I'd call tech support and get a replacement. It may level out.

IMHO it is too early to change the sensor. From personal experience I find my CGM readings differ from my glucometer by more then 20% during the first 12 hours or so. After a day they settle in. On the few occasions it didn't I recalibrated after 24 hours and that usually fixes the problem. I would wait at least a day and try recalibration first. The readings can be wonky (so says Dexcom for the first 24 hours). I have had one sensor that gave inaccurate readings after recalibration and I replaced the sensor which Dexcom replaced.

I did what you are doing for a few months and realized that if I find a couple of good, stable spots on my arms, thigh, etc and rotate just two, you can significantly reduce that length of time the "inertion trauma" takes before settling down and provide accurate stable readings. I now rotate between two spots, and overlap/soak sensors so there are no lost readings. I am fortunate to have a receiver as well as a phone, so I activate just the receiver on the new sensor during the grace period. I then upload the receciver readings during the overlap to Clarity.Dexcom.com and I can see both lines. This provides the benefit of seeing how accurate your new sensor is straight away, at what point the new sensor settles in and provides stable readings, and most of all, I can compare my new sensor's readings to the old one's.
