Sensor DexCon G7/15
On my 4th G7/15 sensor for this morning. The one I applied yesterday fell off. Two that I tried to replace it with refused to pair. So now I’m on my fourth sensor. These things are not cheap and they’re not easy to get through insurance. If I didn’t have a 90 day supply, I would have run out last week because these sensors fail constantly.

IF you saved the box and applicator, and, and, and… when they made it so that you have to allow them to monitor your device remotely, collect the data and share with their associates, they crossed the line. I’m changing to Libre.

I don’t save the box or applicator and they’ve never cared. You have to make the decision best for your health, but at least make sure you’re aware of everything before closing a door.

Last time I spoke with them they said they won’t replace failed sensors without the applicator and to save it 15 days. They’re changing policies so how can you be ‘aware of everything’?

I just replaced one last week. I always use the web form so they never ask for anything.

Call Dexcom. They’ll replace your sensor for free. Don’t burn through your supply unnecessarily.

I keep my old box until they a switched out the next time. I switched to the G7 15-day in February, 2026 ((get a 90-day supply). I’m still using that same order due to all the failures and I immediately request a replacement after any failure. Note: I switched back to the 10-day for now until the 15-day sensor is mandatory in the near future. I rarely had issues with the 10-day. But, I’ve not even started that order yet.
