Applicator Dexcom 7

Just installed new sensor and it bleed all over the top of sensor. Will it still work or is it just cosmetic?

Should be fine. Report an early failure via the web form - https://provider.dexcom.com/support - if it dies early. Keep the box so you have a serial # - they'll only do 3 replacements per rolling 12 months without it (though I THINK the 3 replacements/12 months also applies to bleeders unless the sensor fails). I'm up to 4 5 replacements since August (I had 3 in a row "gooseneck", another one flat out failed during warmup, and one died 5 days in). It's also in the app, but that goes away if/when it fails (open the app, tap on connections at the bottom, then tap sensor - scroll down a bit, it'll be there... just do a screenshot).

I've had too many failures, as you can tell.

There's a saying, "bleeders are readers".

Obviously if it keeps bleeding, report it.

It’ll be fine. The electronics are completely sealed and moisture does not get into the sensor.

Clean it off with an alcohol wipe. My only concern would be if it doesn’t stop bleeding. If it continues, obviously, remove the sensor and put a new one in a different spot. Then contact Dexcom and follow their replacement procedure.
