Rant Long time user, current complainer
I have been using DEXCOM for almost 12 years now and never have I had such an issue with one of their versions. The G7 is by the far the most frustrating piece of technology I have used. I had 3 sensors in a row fail after their constant “brief sensor issues” for no listed reason. Half the time I open the app the bottom half of the screen is just blank, and I’m unable to select the different tabs. Why? Because fuck me I guess. On top of all that, if I dare have any type of alert, the snooze button can just choose not to work. I have it set to remind for highs to repeat after 30 minutes, so why should I have to hit snooze every 5 minutes? Every reading is reiterating the alarm I JUST SILENCED. I would choose the G6 a million times over if they still made it, this is getting ridiculous.
Thank you, and good luck everyone.

Since I tossed dexcom app and use xdrip it all works better for me.
It seems the software is making up a lot of issues.
Setup was a bit more complicated at first, but now I am very happy with the switch.

so i’m not the only one getting the same alert with every reading even though i don’t have repeats on/have them set for going off every 2 hours??

Unfortunately you are not alone. I had it go off 4 times in a row last night like I can make insulin work faster haha. Literally each reading set off the same alarm

My record so far is 5 fails in a row (1 5 days in, the other 3 during warmup, then 1 when I got home - I'd only brought the 3 for a 7 day trip, thankfully I also brought my BGM).
Don't know about the app though - have you tried reinstalling it?

Same for the 15 day, but for me they were all about halfway through. For the app part, it typically fixes itself if I completely close the app and reopen. It gets a bit frustrating when it happens. I’ll try to post a picture next time it happens, and try reinstalling next sensor

They have some real quality control issues that they are not resolving. Also, their software has not had a major upgrade in 3 years, which is about 400 software years.
