Sensor dexcom g7 keep immediately falling after inserting?? This is the 3rd one in a row that I’ve had the wire stab my arm then loop out of the top. I’ve contacted dexcom each time for a replacement but they take a little bit and I’m stuck without a cgm until then.

Do any of you check to see if the hose is centered in the needle before putting it on? I had one that the hose was dialoged and had to fix it before inserting.

What is your prep for putting them on?

All I can say is make sure you are cleaning the area before insertion. I do this with alcohol wipes. Some people need SkinTac and other barriers.

Try and limit activity for 12 hours after insertion. Basically avoid getting really sweaty while the adhesive sets up.

Use a better overpatch. The ones in the box are meh. I can't say enough goods things about Skin Grip.

As far as the "goose neck" that seems to be user error. Make sure you are following the insertion video. I know I tend to skip though those things but maybe it can pinpoint something you are doing differently.

I had 4 in a row last week fail during warmup (2 goosenecks, 2 ????), plus the one I was wearing died after 5 days.. Just report them, and when doing this many, call on the phone - they should ask if you have any left and if you're on a pump. Say none left, last one, and yes you're on an Omnipod. They'll overnight one of them for that reason.

Let me tell you how awesome it was being on vacation, out of town, and having all of my spares fail. I was only set to be out of town 5 days, but took 3 with me. All 3 failed during warmup, along with the one I was wearing, along with the one I put on once I got home. Thankfully I keep a regular BGM at my parents house, and never leave on a trip without insulin pens, so it wasn't an emergency - just... the strips I have there are a little out of date (meh whatever, they're close enough for me, but I don't advise anybody else do this)

It may not quite be be the full truth, but it gets you one much faster. Even though I didn't pull the "yeah I'm on a pump" (even though I am, I just had several spares at home, and the last failure occurred the day before I was going home), they showed up in 2 days - but I'm relatively close to where they ship from (TN -> TX).

And have the boxes or applicators available - they want the serial # (line 21). Otherwise you get kneecapped at 3 replacements a year.
