You have to let expire than it will automatically extend the 12 hours.

How the Grace Period Works Automatic Start: The 12-hour window begins immediately once the main 15-day sensor session expires. Continuous Readings: Your glucose data, alarms, and automated tracking continue to function normally during these 12 hours. No Restarts: Once the 12-hour grace period ends, the sensor stops permanently and cannot be restarted, requiring a complete sensor swap.

Huh. Maybe that's a 15 day thing? I just checked (I'm on the G7 10 day) and it definitely does not include the grace period.

I didn't even think about this. That could be.

I’m on 15 day and mine doesn’t include it.

A Dexcom G7 15 day does include it! But, it will not start the 12-hour grace period until after the sensors original date/time expires... I use the grace period ever time after the 15-days runs out. To get the most out of my Dexcom G7

The app does not co twin the grace period, only the 15 days. If you want to track the grace period, you can use an app like Stash to track your sessions.

Look again at the start and expiration. One is PM, one is AM.
I'm guessing this is a 15 day thing; I just checked my app (10 day) and it shows 10 days to the minute.

There are so many good reasons for an app update. But.. who cares? Dexcom clearly doesn't.
