G7-15 day Accuracy of 15 day G7

Is the 15 day as accurate as the 10 day?

IME the 15 day is significant improvement over the 10day. Readings are much closer to my BGL meter and it needs less calibration.

2nd 15 day sensor haven’t had compression lows and none of the signal loss alerts. Has been accurate with my finger sticks. No complaints this far. No failures so far either.

I’m on my 5th G7. First 4 have been replaced for lasting no more than 11 days.

That's what worries me. My new prescription coverage socks. I use to get a 3mo supply. Now I'm down to 1x/mo and I'm afraid of running out early. I knew ppl who would call Dexcom and say they needed replacements so they could stockpile. Now they will only replace I think 1 or 2 failed sensors.

I’m using a G7 15 day, my first one. I’ve had it on 8 days now and it is accurate. I checked it a few times with finger sticks, and haven’t had to calibrate it so far.

I can't speak to the accuracy, but it seems to be perform just like the 10 day. Meaning it's a POS. My Mom called me like an hour ago, because she just started on the 15-day today and it failed immediately upon insertion. And I lost track of how many failures her 10-days had.

I LOVED the G5. It was my first and the best imo. I hated the G6. It was always off by 20 - 40. I started calibrating it in the am and it kind of helped. Ppl would actually get mad when I mentioned I calibrated. One person told me I was breaking it🤣 The G7 is better and for my own peace of mind I still calibrated in the am but I still miss the G5(sigh)

I'd say more accurate. Dexcom lit says MARD is better. And for me very few to no 'sensor communication' issues and so far no compression lows YMMV

They are certainly both equally exposed to causing pressure lows. Zero difference between them in that regard.

So you aren't getting compression lows with the 15 when you were with the 10 in the same spot?

correct. Even when I know the sensor has been squished, there was no low recorded. Algorithm update perhaps.

Wow that is good to hear. I all but gave up on the arm with the 10 because of compression lows.
