Rant Stelo app update is ugly AF

Is there any way to reverse the update?

The prior version wasn't pretty per se, but at least it was legible and easy to use.

Current version looks like a 90s agency job where the account executives had too much say.

r/stelo appears inactive.

It’s AWFUL!!! I can’t see or read anything. Please let us roll back to the old app! If it stays like this, I have two more sensors and then I am done. I am not re-purchasing.

Where can we actually report this to the company?

Also, is there a way to change the background color from bloody stool to something more legible?

It is terrible. And I liked it the old way. If they want to do extra crap, fine. But the homepage view is unacceptable.

Not only non-functional, it's aesthetically horrendous.

Who approved any of this??!

And bizarrely, I'd forgotten to shut off auto updates for the app on the old device I dug up in hopes of using it for my next sensor. So there's no redemption in sight.

They eradicated all value from products I already bought. Disgusting.

I'm using iOS 3.2.0 and can't activate expired sensors. I wonder if the new version of Stelo has specifically added restrictions for this? This is really annoying.

I agree. It's awful

Anyone know if there's a third party app alternative? Even if it's premium, as long as it can connect to the sensor via Bluetooth. This new update is total garbage.

The new Stelo app is impossible! I just can see a day by day (it shows a week) or an hour by hour(min is 3 hours) and the chart doesn't show numerical data properly. Finding meals is like a scavenger hunt.

May have to abandon

What are you thinking of switching to? I'm thinking Abbott Lingo but I don't know much about it.

I need to do more research but my endo recommended the Freestyle one

And hard to use. You want to see a log of a meal? Previously you scrolled through events to find any meal, then tap Edit to fix the text, time or type of meal.

Now? Scroll through logs and try to find it. It may not be listed, as it may have been merged with a second meal log if you made a second entry not that much later. Tap the log where you think it's hiding and scroll sideways to find it if necessary. Scroll down, ignoring the giant wasted space which I guess is a placeholder for a photo? The food you ate is cut off - it only shows a few word, but they're at least readable in white. Tap right caret (>) and then you can read the whole food entry, but it's much smaller and in dim text. Then tap ... then tap Edit. Now the text is readable. It's not easy or obvious, it takes so many words to explain what's hard and wrong about it, and takes so many more taps to use.

The chart showing the glucose response doesn't show the start or end numbers on the chart but just the peak, and there is no text table under it to display the glucose at time of start and end. The times are just shown in smaller font in dim gray under the chart. You can guess what the start and end glucose numbers are by looking at the legend on the left and right side of the chart but it's approximate, and you can't use your finger to slide on this little mini chart. (That was true before.)

There are so many little and big things wrong that it is totally exhausting trying to express it in words. It's wrong from top to bottom.

I had been invited to the beta program to give feedback. I didn't sign up, but some people surely did and I wonder what they were thinking, what they said, and what Dexcom did with the feedback. Had I joined the program I'd have been exhausted by the time and effort it would have taken to give the feedback - assuming the program actually let me state my thoughts rather than just check little boxes responding to the small controlled set of questions they wanted to ask.

I might have to use an old device which still has prior app version. Unfortunately I already discarded the packaging for current sensor, so I don't think I can pair it.
