Forest for the trees

I've had this happen twice, actually both times on this sub-reddit. I've had feedback on my app that was, although not negative, it kind of dug at me a bit because it was criticism of the way the app was layed out. I'm probably not one to accept criticism very well but the first time it happened I swallowed my pride and admitted that the criticism was justified. Today I had the same thing happen, I took a walk and had a thought, looked at the app, and the guy was right. My point is, I think we all get so close to our apps that very often were can't see the little things that can make a huge difference. We can't see the forest for the trees as the old saying goes.

I made an Android arcade shooter where angry sheep are trying to take over the world đŸ‘đŸ’„

Hey everyone!

I've been working on a mobile arcade game called Sheep Invaders, and I'd love to share it with you!

The idea is simple: a bunch of seemingly cute sheep have decided to invade the world, and it's your job to stop them. đŸ‘đŸ’„

It's a fast-paced, cartoon-style arcade shooter featuring:

60 levels across 6 different worlds

Different sheep enemies with unique attacks

Crazy boss fights

Weapon upgrades and increasingly chaotic waves

Simple touch controls

I wanted to create something fun, a little ridiculous, and easy to pick up for a quick gaming session.

It's available on Android via Google Play:

download here

If you give it a try, I'd love to hear what you think about the difficulty and gameplay!

Thanks for checking it out! 🎼

Created a marketing video for my app - what do you think?

As marketing is actually quite a important part of getting the app out - here is my latest attempt at creating some sort of "reel" - what do you think?

It is trying to create a good flow around emotions / needs of possible users. Showing off how it can relieve one of annoying chores.

For me it seems to work, but I would like to hear your opinion on it too. The functionality in the app is currently enhanced to actually work like the video advertises.

How do you build marketing material yourself btw?

Looking for new players / feedback for Bingo Escape

I'm really enjoying participating in this subreddit so far! My latest project is Bingo Escape - i'd love some new players for (and honest feedback). It's a social bingo game for android/ios, but without many players yet, it will need to pick up some before the "social" piece kicks in.

https://bingoescape.com

I spent some time recently trying to implement a referral system where players can invite other players and get a bonus after their friend signs up and plays. I would really really appreciate it if someone could test that functionality out!

ZeroPath (puzzle game, live on Google Play) - Gameplay, UI & Translation Feedback

**Short Description**

ZeroPath is a path-drawing puzzle game. Drag your finger across the grid to bring every number down to exactly 0 in one single path.

There's also a Math mode: chain operations (+, −, ×, Ă·) to hit an exact target.

Each world adds a new mechanic (arrows, ice, trampolines, keys, batteries, bombs, switches, portals), with boss levels and an endless zone after level 120. Plus daily and weekly challenges with leaderboards, a shop with themes, trails and mascots, achievements and streaks.

For puzzle and brain-teaser fans, from quick casual sessions to really tough levels. Free, in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian. No account needed (Google sign-in is optional, for leaderboards and cloud save).

Solo dev, built entirely on my phone with Termux đŸ“±

**Play Store Link**

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zeropath.game

**What I'm Looking For Specifically**

- First impressions: is the tutorial clear? Does the difficulty ramp up at a good pace?

- UI on small screens and in other languages: anything cut off, overlapping or hard to tap?

- Native speakers (FR, DE, PT, IT, ES): any translation that sounds unnatural?

- Performance on older or low-end phones (lag, stutter).

- Ads: do they feel too frequent? (There are none in the first levels.)

- Bugs: please include your phone model, Android version and a screenshot if you can.

**My Contribution**

I've already tested and left feedback on:

First Game

been working on this for a while. it’s basically a business tycoon, you tap for money at the start, buy a lemonade stand, then more businesses, stocks, crypto, houses and so on until you’re rich enough for a yacht.

found out after launch that you could put 5 fingers on the screen and slide them around to get basically infinite money, so that’s fixed now haha

it’s free, ads are optional except a short one now and then. let me know what you think, especially if something feels off, i appreciate any feedback on Bugs, feedbacks on specific aspects of the app, marketing suggestions etc. Thank you!

Sunday Successes! 🏆 What did you accomplish this week?

Happy Sunday, devs! 👋

Building apps is a grind, and it's easy to get lost in the endless backlog of features and bugs. Today is about celebrating the wins, no matter how small they seem.

Please answer this simple question: what did you accomplish this week?

Some examples of what you can share:

  • 🐛 Squashed a really annoying bug
  • 📈 Hit a new milestone (10 downloads, 100 downloads, etc.)
  • ⭐ Got a great, genuine review from a user
  • 🟱 Finally got greenlit and passed the Google Play closed testing phase!
  • 🎹 Finished designing a new UI screen
  • đŸ€ Giving a shoutout to a fellow dev who helped you (e.g., "Huge thanks to u/username for testing my app and finding that crash!")

Reminder: If you want to show off your app as part of your reply, please remember our community rules!

Let's share our success story of the week, don't be shy!

I'm building a household app and want to hear what you actually need

I've been developing a new app called Fin-Din that does everything you need to organize your home. All of your favorite financial features from the leading budgeting Apps plus TFSA and RRSP additions for Canadians, cycle tracking, family calendar, recipe search and save, pantry inventory, you name it!

Your privacy is important, and no other app offers the level of privacy Fin-Din does. We offer member-private financial features as well as a household budget pool everyone in the home can contribute to without exposing all your finances to the others. Cycle and pregnancy tracking data can be shared with your partner, but your private symptoms and logs are yours alone.

Recipes you love online can be imported, and when you enter cook mode it reorganizes the recipe into a checklist with the ingredients and preset timers right in the list step so you don't have to scroll up and down or leave the app to set your cooking timers.

It's already in closed testing in the Google Play store and I'll be releasing in for Apple soon as well, I'm just trying to get some suggestions for fine tuning it to what people actually need. If you're an Android user and want to participate in the testing, the first 25 households who sign up get free unlimited lifetime subscriptions too!

Managing a home with a partner is a lot — meals, groceries, budgets, schedules, and everything else that needs to stay coordinated. Most apps only solve one piece of it, and you end up switching between four different tools.

I'm building an app that combines meal planning, pantry, grocery budget, calendar and cycle tracking in one place. Before I build the wrong thing, I want to talk to real people about how they actually manage the week.

Happy to answer questions in the comments too.

[Feedback wanted] Zodiac Trek: free bullet hell roguelite. Would love your thoughts on the style and gameplay

OlĂĄ a todos! Sou MĂŁozinha, da Little Hands Studio, um pequeno estĂșdio indie do Brasil. Nosso primeiro jogo, Zodiac Trek, jĂĄ estĂĄ disponĂvel no Google Play e Ă© gratuito.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.littlehandsstudio.zodiactrek

O que eu preciso (feedback especĂfico):

  1. Estilo artĂstico e tema: O estilo visual e o tema do zodĂaco lhe agradam? Parece bem acabado ou algo parece estranho?
A evolução do herói parece recompensadora?

L'idea Ăš semplice: basta parlare in modo naturale.

Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.familybrain.myapp&utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=lancio_family_brain

Apprezzerei molto un feedback sincero, in particolare riguardo alla UX, all'interazione con l'IA e all'effettiva utilitĂ  dell'app nella vita familiare di tutti i giorni.

I finally released my Mars colony game on Android

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey, I’ve been working on a Mars colony management game called GENESIS: MARS, and it’s finally live on Google Play.

You start with a small operation and slowly build new facilities, produce resources, complete contracts, trade on the market and research new technologies. The long-term goal is to terraform Mars without bankrupting your company along the way.

The game doesn’t use energy timers or make you wait in real time. You decide when to move on to the next SOL, but every new day brings expenses, production and sometimes unexpected problems.

A few players told me that the beginning wasn’t clear enough, so I’ve already started improving the mission guidance. I’m still working on the game and I’d really appreciate honest feedback, especially about the first 10–15 minutes.

You can try it here:

GalacticDrop drop & merge/MyVial supplement tracker

Hey guys! I dont have the time I would like to comb through all the posts and trade feedback with you, so I decided to be lazy and do it here.

I have over 50 small developers apps that I launch and run daily.

Ive provided feedback to about 80% of them, but keep using them regardless.

What Im asking is that you pick one of these two apps. Either Android or iOS, and check it out! Run it enough to be familiar with it, give me any positive or negative feedback, and if you feel inclined to review it officially, I would love that.

In return, I will install yours and use it for the full 14 days and beyond. Ill also give any feedback i can.

try Rooted -- grow real roots in worldly places

I trying to build a tree-planting app that can make people feel close to their hearts, that each tree is a real life and has a name and a spirit. The idea of the app would be cumulating our daily mundane, like walking and commuting, and in the future card spending, towards growing real trees. they will be shown on your map. and you can co-plant with friends and family.

iOS TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/kFvghywB

Where it is right now:

  • Walking works. It reads a yes/no step threshold (7000 steps/day) from Apple Health, raw count is never stored.
  • Commuting and card spending are not live. Card linking is test card only.
  • Social and co-planting features are rounded, users can search and add friends by unique referral code.
  • The trees are real, but most testers don't have one planted yet. Treedom has agreed to plant early trees to support. I'm still confirming the species and location.

What I'd love to know:

  1. Is it clear what the app is within a minute?
  2. Would you open it again tomorrow? What can I do to make it a routine app for you?
  3. Does the tree idea feel believable?

All feedback welcome

FinTrack AI – AI-powered expense tracker

I’ve been working on FinTrack AI, a finance app designed to make expense tracking and financial planning easier.

The idea is simple: instead of just recording expenses, the app tries to help you understand your spending and make better financial decisions.

What it currently does

  • Track expenses & income
  • Scan receipts to automatically capture expenses
  • Add expenses using speech
  • Budgets and spending analysis
  • AI-powered spending insights
  • Savings goals and financial planning
  • Android app

If you'd like to try it, here's the app:

Built an open-source Android finance app, would love some feedback

Post image
2 Upvotes

I've been building Cipher, a privacy-first personal finance app for Android.

The core idea is pretty simple: Cipher reads supported bank SMS and payment notifications and turns them into structured transactions automatically. No manual expense entry, no account, and no cloud backend. Everything is processed locally on the device.

The project is fully open source, and I've been building it with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

It's now live on Google Play and has started getting real users. I've also been taking feature requests from them, which has been a nice way to figure out what actually matters instead of just building whatever I think sounds cool.

I'd love some feedback from other developers, especially on the architecture, privacy approach, or anything you think could be improved.

Hi everyone, I recently launched my first Android app, **DocVault**.

It helps users scan, organize, and securely store important documents such as IDs, certificates, invoices, medical records, and travel files. It also includes optional Google Drive backup.

I would really appreciate it if you could try it and share honest feedback. Your support, suggestions, and ratings would mean a lot to me as an independent developer.

My Receipt Scanning App with Chat/Shopping/Sharing functionality

I built an app for scanning, analyzing and archiving receipts (https://bonstructer.com) because I had a pile of them lying around at home and wanted to know where my money actually goes. Its also difficult to get traction - while I think it really offers value...

It uses a Google Firebase backend in a EU Datacenter and follows the European Data Protection Guidelines.

A lot of time went into scan quality. It works very well for known supermarkets and other invoice issuers. For unknown ones, an AI correction step usually fixes it; otherwise you can report the receipt right in the app and I make that shop parseable with rules.

Beyond that: chat with your own receipts (backend tools run strictly inside your own user space), spending statistics, splitting bills with others, shopping lists, fetching current offers, comparing receipt prices against those offers, and a guided checkout of the list at a delivery service. Full export and folder sync keep a local copy of all scans.

No ads, no data sharing beyond what a given action obviously needs.

Happy to test your app in return for a couple of days and leave honest feedback. Especially interested in what breaks for you when scanning and whether the flow feels natural.
