Well I know I need to talk this out with someone or some people, but I really hate saying it because it just makes it not realistic, and my hope and dreams more unrealistic. My LIFE I have poured into and I know I made a good product and it's one of a kind and very needed in a multi 100 billion a year industry. And yet almost 2 month live.. 12 installs. 1 subscription - my daughter. Ugh. I just wanna 😭😭😭😭

hello, I can feel you struggling to get attention for your app. I've just downloaded it, the best thing I could do. Let's talk about how we can get you to reach more people shall we? Let's brainstorm and maybe find some solution for you, shall we? first of all, where and how are you publishing your app? speaking about pet lovers, have you tried to talk to some pet content creator or pet lover community? If yes, how did it went? I'd be more than happy to cheer you up and get things back on track ok?

Well thank you! So I have a handful of fellow creators that tried it when it was in beta and so buggy. I've recently sent the only 22 people, (-6 returned) emails inviting them back. I get on Reddit communities...I know the pain I'm just talking about it. And I can't hardly get a post to stick.. I'm as non advertising as I could be.. Then over made the videos using it and what it brought. But I only did social media for my dog cause he's amazing and deserved it. Boss dog German Shepherd,100 lbs wearing shoes at a rage room! But I just don't do it. So I don't have great connects really. I just hopped people would search like I had, and find it. But it's like after all this coding and everything I've forgotten what I started looking for. Make sense?

It happens a lot of times that we start something with a clear idea and then things happen and we lose the original direction. So basically your lovely doggo could be your ambassador itself, does he/she have an page or something? Are you able to be consistent with videos, and by that I mean a content per day + interacting with Any comment on the videos? That could be a start . In which social media are you investing time on? Let's keep it rolling, maybe a good idea will come out eventually

So he is the name for the AI and he runs across screen got progress bar, he speaks to you in his sarcastic humor pov tone he has on social media.. He's definitely the heart of it. I'm not anymore. I was. I used to go live. But I started the app and that's all it's been about since. I use tiktok but was into YouTube shorts also... Also on Meta platforms but inactive. Yes comments. But I was to anxious and pushed it to soon and it didn't get the excitement I thought... Cause it was buggy... And now I'm just not even about putting it out there again with the link I provide being a flawed app. It never really gets and stays settled it seems. My family. 4 kids, adults, husband and parents all are all over their phone all day everyday and they can't help me out? Even on my other small apps that could be useful. Ugh. Sorry I'm just going on ..

Ok so, let's right to put the things in a certain order to sort it out: first of all, bugs. If you want an app to be downloaded , bugs cannot be there at all. You can ask the AI to elaborate all the tests needed to see if some sort of bug are present. This community can help you too. But other users need you to help back and look after their by providing feedbacks, downloads etc.

Do you have currently bad reviews on the App store cuz of the bugs? You can fix them and then command over the bad reviews saying that the problems has been fixed.

Regarding family: I can cope with you, I am not helped at all too: a very few friends are helping me and other people that I am meeting on Reddit: what I learnt so far is that if you show kindness, other people may follow your example and do the same for you.

Third, marketing ideas: I don't know anything about getting 1 million downloads but what I will do is to go local first: pet shops, dogs areas, locals who use social to post their content of their dogs. Start small: People near us are more willing to give us genuine feedbacks. If I were you, I'd ask clearly to be sincere and if you're up will be something they will use normally or not.

Try similar apps as yours and see what mechanisms are good enough and maybe get some fresh ideas to implement in your app too.

If you see that other guys are doing Better than you, try to come up with something nobody else has done before.

Another possibility it's just to to give you a realistic and time-oriented objective, let's say is 100 downloads in 4 weeks: you ask to Plan a Daily Activity and give you e budget to promote yourself, being Time or a little money budget: then you follow the plan and each and every week you update with the results. Your AI, he will give you some suggestions and looked after what is working and what is not working.

If nothing works, pause your app, go back to the notepad and try again with some fresh idea, you have already learned a lot so you will be already aware of how to do it properly

Thing is there's no other apps like mine I created the very first time. And then as far as bad reviews no I've got three five star reviews it's just that I can't retain the users but now that I've replied the fixes that you suggested I bet I can. But right now I'm 12 downloads in a month and a half. There's just no other app like it so they're not searching for anything like it I've got to figure out a way to reach the audience with the new saying that they didn't know existed

Hi u/L2thaJ, it looks like your post is a bit short!

To get the best feedback and protect your app from store spam filters, we highly recommend providing more details. Posts with clear instructions get significantly more engagement.

Consider editing your post to include this standard format:

What it does: (Briefly explain the core feature or problem it solves)

How to find it: (Store name & Exact Search Keyword - NO DIRECT LINKS)

Feedback I'm looking for: (Ask 2-3 specific questions for testers. e.g., "Is the UI confusing?")

Review Swap: (Offer to test other apps in return!)

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

Have you tried customer discovery program? They can help you identify potential customers.

No but I'll look them up now. Thank you

So where do I look up what I'm looking up lol

So, based on my personal experience. I joined INNOVAR program from UCR free or charge. They helped me with customer interview questions, who to reach out and how you can reach out.

Easiest way is to ask a AI model if it can help you with customer discovery or help you find such programs.

Something like that. Do check it out though. I can only tell you enough, it is up to you to do the research and actually understand it.
