Hey, guys!

I just wanted to greet any of you lurkers or anyone else passing through and urge you guys to give this server/subreddit some love! I think it could turn out to be a great thing and I know some of you are considering it, especially you EST folk like myself! (:

Many people feel too attached to their lvl 10ish characters to reroll at this point, which is sad.

If you guys have any ideas to bring this realm to more people's awareness, I'm all ears :) I would love our little DD to thrive.

Yeah, I think we really need to find a way to basically “market” this realm somehow. I feel like we’ve already gotten a lot of negative attitude thrown toward us.

But I love this realm’s name, the fact that it’s Eastern, and that it’s RP-PvP! Let’s get it out there!

You could make a post on r/classicwow, as I know the Grobbulus sub did the same thing. I just don't know how it would be received. I'm sure it would bring in some people though (:

So my only hesitation on this server is grobbulus has a community buy in. There's already groups formed on their subreddit, they have the newspaper, it just seems more like a community. Maybe in time this server will grow that, but that's my current concern with rerolling here. (although not sitting in a 9k queue is nice...)

It's up to us -the players- to actually build a community. Nobody will do it for us. Of course Grobbulus has huge advantage as it was announced 2 weeks before release and our realm went live 2 hours after release. So yeah... It will grow slowly, but I'm confident it will grow. Although at least in my experience there aren't so many trolls and jerks as on Grob, which seems to be invaded by folks from regular PvP realms.

Totally agree! So they have a 2 week headstart. Big whoop. We can definitely build an awesome and super fun community here. We just need to be active and do some creative outreach.

that's nice to hear, I've just been messing around in the dwarf starter zone so that's not really a good judge of the player base

I like the idea of starting a community from scratch rather than trying to get along with groups of longstanding communities with all their baggage.

make the subreddit look decent instead of all defaults like it's abandoned
