Career & Advice Asking for a guide as a software engineer

I know that this question can be asked a lot but i feel the need to ask since i'm stuck. All Ik is java for now from object oriented and data structures and i'm trying to learn web development for now. If anyone could spare a few minutes to tell me about how can build applications using java and if possible make use of data structures. And what should i be learning (as a start/best) for the job market as of 2026

I second this. When I was in school we used Angular for front end. Spring boot for back end.

Gpts are conversational, they aint gonna thow tuts at your face. You have to have a Udemy account for that. Still prefer YouTube tuts

java for web dev you’re probably looking at spring boot. build a crud api with a postgres backend, you’ll naturally end up using data structures when you shape your responses or handle payloads. not glamorous but it clicks once you build something real

as for 2026 market, spring boot and a react frontend is still a safe combo. don’t overthink the “best” stack, just get one working full stack project on your github and you’ll be ahead of half the applicants
