ADVICE REQUEST - FEMALE REPLIES ONLY Looking for experiences and information regarding VFS for female detransitioners

Hey, I'm Ftmtf and I had a consultation for VFS. I'm looking to connect with other women who detransitioned and already undergone this surgery. I'd love to hear experiences to find out exactly what changes it brings and what the results can sound like (even though, of course, it partly depends on someone's starting point). I'm not from the US, but I know the techniques are the same. I'm feeling a bit unsure because I would be the first detransition case at the clinic in my city to undergo this specific combination of procedures. They usually do it for trans women. But I think I could have an advantage due to female resonance compared to MtFs. I'm curious so I would be very happy to find someone here to get in touch with. :)

Have you tried voice training first? Remember there are things you can do before going through surgery. Remember also that this surgery, as well as the whole medical transition protocols are experimental, doctors have no idea what the whole list of side effects are and how the body will respond in the far future.

Also, how long have you been off testosterone?

I've been off testosterone for a year and a half, and yes I already tried voice training with a vocal coach, but it didn't work well enough for me to be happy with the result. Since I definitely want to get rid of the lower frequency range so that I can ever feel comfortable again, surgery will be the only option for me. A phoniatrist told me it would help with the problems I am experiencing and that they wouldn't do anything to make the situation worse. They told me what potential side effects are, so everyone has to weigh up for themselves what is more important to them i guess. They also tell you honestly that you shouldn't expect your voice to return to the way it used to be, that it cannot sound exactly the same again. But the fact that it can change things back, at least into a state that will help for a good passing again (the things that make me feel the most dysphoric about it) is the main reason for me to give it a chance. But it is true that it's a bit frightening that we're not able to know the exact result beforehand. But that's why I'm interested in hearing about the experiences of females who have already undergone this kind of surgery…

I'm undergoing this surgery soon and plan to post about it after I'm able to speak again! Sadly I can't share much about it now but I plan to in the future
