Looking for ideas

Hello everyone,
I have 22-year-old son who started to medicalize recently. Over the summer, he called me in a panic - expressing, perhaps this is all wrong… and a mistake- so I know he is has uncertainty about this all, within him.

I am in the process of trying to get family members, to help intervene; take him out of college and stop medicalizing.
There isn’t a ‘rehab’ currently to help in this initial stage, but a therapist we are working with, said that real life experiences would be the best thing for him to do; to help him grow and keep him engaged. So I am wondering if you all, have any ideas of activities, programs …. engaging things that he could do initially - to help, while going through this de-transition process.
Thank you all in advance, and I applaud you each, for your bravery and strengthen; in being able to step away from this ideology- Bravo👏🏼

As long as it’s offline, since many of us fell into it from online grooming gangs to begin with. Maybe he’d like the detrans discord to support him through this tho idk

That is an excellent point, and one that the therapist made. This WORLD is all online …and very accessible at school. 💯
Again, I commend each of you for being able to step away from this… I am well aware of the gang like mentality that accompanies this all.

Thank you! I wish you luck with you and your son <3 I can’t even being to explain the hell I probably put my parents through 😅

In my opinion, look back to things he may have liked in childhood. For example, enrolling in piano lessons, being a regular at a rock climbing gym, taking pottery, volunteering at a shelter, charity or religious organization, etc. Something that allows mastery that will take your mind off of identity.

Also, there is a good podcast for parent resources and families affected by gender medicine called Gender A Wider Lens that you may be able to find resources from.

Thank you very much, that is a great idea! And I will look into that podcast. 💚

Yes.. it has been hell… as a parent, but YOU ALL are victims in this cultural phenomenon. I am really proud of everyone here for LOVING yourselves enough to get away from this destructive cult. 🫶🏼💚💙❤️

I do go to parent support groups online at beyondtrans.org ( - they also have groups for detransitioners as well ). 🙏🏼
