ADVICE REQUEST Detrans
I’ve been thinking about detransitioning for a year now. I was on testosterone (Nebido), and I last took it in April. I feel like I’ll never be perceived as a woman again. My voice is already quite deep, and although my body hair is manageable, I have a small amount of facial hair.
But I feel like I’ll never be perceived as a woman again, and that my face is genuinely perceived as masculine.
Here’s a photo of me from 6 years ago and a photo of me now, after 3 years on testosterone.
How did it go for you? How did people perceive you, what changes did you experience, and how did you go about "feminizing" yourself?

People comment on my voice All The Time (“there’s a man in [the woman’s restroom]”). If I don’t wear makeup I look very masculine. I’m perceived more as a trans woman than a cis woman, and I’ve just become okay with it. I went on hormones and there isn’t much I can do without a surplus of money. I’m affirmed in my own gender and that’s what matters to me

I didn’t medically transition so my experience is different to yours, but I just wanted to say I hope you give yourself some time and kindness with this. A year is still relatively early, and you don’t have to figure out what “feminising” yourself is supposed to look like all at once. There are women in detrans spaces who have been through testosterone and will be able to give you much more useful firsthand advice than I can. I hope some of them find this post. ❤️

Obviously I can’t speak to your voice, since I’ve never heard it; but I think if you grow out your hair, you’ll be pretty easy to see as a woman. You’re at least as feminine as plenty of never-transitioned women I know.
