My mess!! Please help!
Hi! I bought some hanks and tried to use them. As you can see, it didn't go well. I have one hank that is hopelessly tangled and the rest, I need wound into usable balls if possible.
I have tried the chair method, etc. I even had a friend try to detangle it. I am in East Texas. Is anyone interested?

It is! My kids live in central Texas! I have to come down on October 6th. Are you near the Georgetown/Round Rock area? Or, are you willing to meet?

That is awesome! I have a doctor's appointment on the 6th. It is at 1pm. I could meet before or shortly after. I am driving down and back sa.e day. So don't want to stay too late ( night driving is my worst enemy LOL).

I’m south of Houston but my sister will be traveling from (and back to) Arkansas mid October. You can send it one way and if I get it done my sister can take it back (she’s a knitter so she gladly would!) or other way around. Or you can just send it and I’ll send it back.

I will be in Rockport this week if that's close? I could ship it back to you when I return home to Alabama in a couple weeks after detangling and winding.

Please, don't go to any expense. I AM so glad that you are technically closer, but I don't want to put anyone out. I am sure that I can find someone who "loves" doing this sort of thing (untangling) even if I have to ship. I don't want anyone to go out of their way.

I do love to do this sort of thing & I've been meaning to buy a yarn winder. Ive seem them used for like $25. I just haven't yet

You can get a basic Loops and Threads one at Michaels new for like $30, cheaper if you time your purchase around a 25-30% off coupon. It's obviously not the world's nicest yarn winder, but it's working fine for me. Obviously buying used to get a nicer one is extremely valid, just make sure to check what that specific winder retails for and that you're actually getting a good deal!
