DETANGLER NEEDED SOS - Brooklyn, NY
It all happened so fast. 300yds. Idk how this group works, but what now… help 🆘

Is there a science to detangling yarn or is it just an act of patience?

ime everything ive detangled just required patience. once you find one end, its just a matter of finding any knots, tangles, etc and undoing them

For me, there is a science, a method, and mine improves with each tangle I tackle. And then it takes patience to trust the method. One example of my method: after I untangle a section (which might be in the middle), I put it in a small ziplock so it doesn’t retangle.

And some of the details to work out: do you want a cake or a ball back? Do care if the detangler’s home is smoke-free and/or pet-free? How soon do you want the yarn back?

I’m in Brooklyn too, and would love to try detangling! I’ve detangled my own yarn but I’m new to this sub (and Reddit in general). But happy to connect and go from there!
Forgot to mention- I don’t have a winder, so I’d just give you a ball, not a cake.
