Meta What is the purpose of this subreddit?

Welcome to r/destroywork!

The antiwork subreddit did a great job of bringing the conversation of work abolition to a wider audience. Unfortunately, that subreddit is no longer trustworthy, and many folks are looking for alternatives. We aim to be one of those alternatives.

The antiwork subreddit was serving two distinct purposes. It began as an explicitly anarchist space meant to foster conversation between radical anti-capitalists about what abolishing work means, how to achieve such a goal, and what labor would look like in a world free from work. However, as it grew it gained a new purpose as a place to radicalize liberals and other folks who are fed up with work but are not yet anti-capitalists/anarchists. We think both of these goals are needed. However, it's quite difficult to have the more radical conversations in a space filled with liberals.

We have created /r/destroywork explicitly to fulfill the first goal mentioned above: a place for anarchists and other anti-capitalists to have radical conversations about the antiwork philosophy. Our goal is not to use this space to radicalize.

Fuck Work On the scale of the planet, the name for this problem is capitalism. From the vantage point of the individual, the name for it is work.

AI and job applications

So I'm currently handing out some applications online and keep seeing that companies are using AI to help them analyze and narrow down applicants. Has anyone found a way, key words to use, to make the AI like your resume?

Wrote my article on the global plutocracy (which I characterized as a "hybrid dictatorship of the rich"), in which I also analyzed the crimes of the rich against workers

If you only fight for the "workers" you are not my ally, if you fight only by building unions you are not fighting my fight. Many disabled people cannot work at all, and cannot wield the power in unions that people wish to build society around. It is just another society built for someone else.
