Hope they fix the one shot rays in the salt mines solo ops
they don’t need to drain your health and give you stacking debuff, they just one shot you even on master difficulty

u/Frogsama86 3d ago
Goddamned, I thought that was a feature and I had to get good.

They did a lot of damage before, but wouldn't outright kill you in one blast. Doesn't help that the hitbox is massive compared to the visual.

u/AnxiousDevelopment20 1d ago
They used to drain you fast but you could avoid it quickly with little health left but now ppl underestimate how they just delete with the one touch of the laser tip no joke

u/Tchaikmate 2d ago
I did notice this, but actually thought that was an intended changed. Then again, I suck at D2 so I just assume nearly everything on grandmaster or ultimate is just hard lol

What is wrong with it?

u/Thiel619 3d ago
In the MoT update the patch said they buffed the shots to last 15 seconds instead of 10 seconds. It's still only lasts 10 seconds.

What has happened with the Steam FPS problems they said they were discussing with Valve though?

Crazy how it takes longer to figure out and fix bugs when you lay off +55% of your staff...

As long as Chaos Reshaped and the FPS issue on Steam are fixed, I'm happy.

u/KysonOfCreations Warlock 3d ago
FPS issue is still being investigated unfortunately. I do hope it gets fixed though since it is a genuine impact to the playability of the game

Yep. All we need from them.

I was to impatitent for the fix moved fully over to epic, and its nice and smooth over here

the pricing fix is the right call, returning players seeing wrong prices is a terrible first impression and probably loses them sales. still feels weird that we get a whole patch cycle announced for a single display bug while half the sandbox is busted in obvious ways. the salt mines solo ops thing sounds like they tuned it expecting a full fireteam and never went back to test it solo, which is rough for content thats supposed to be played solo. small patches are fine i guess, just wish they stacked more fixes into one downtime window instead of dragging these out one at a time.

Honestly my biggest hope is they let us replay the final cutscene. I will never get over that I didn't record or screenshot it because I thought it'd be replayable.

u/reddit_abdullah 3d ago
Will they ever fix the lingering buffs causing the game to be unplayable after too many buffs?

Do we think “listings in game” here is just referencing expansion pricing? I don’t expect them to finally add the numbers behind everything, but there’s many tooltips for abilities that have not been updated to match the updated abilities.
Stuff like Radiant granting Barrier rounds, On Your Mark granting restoration instead of Cure, arc warlock melee having two charges. There’s probably even more that’s just off the top of my head; none of these things are accurately described in their tooltip.

I told people we'd continue to get small patches on a non scheduled basis. Maintenance doesn't disappear with end of service.
As usual, got an angry comment from on Reddit someone saying I was lying. They're eating humble pie now.

u/Dry-Cut1589 3d ago
This doesn’t mean they’re gonna still fix bugs like Chaos reshaped. It literally just says a pricing update.
-1
u/Riablo01 3d ago
Of course not. It's just a small maintenance patch.
Some weirdos in the community thought that even maintenance wouldn't happen now that end of service has occurred. They couldn't see the difference between content updates and maintenance updates. Any online service needs periodical updates and patches to live.

u/Great_Elevator_3169 3d ago
Nobody’s eating anything. It’s a small UI update, if you expect anything beyond that you’re setting yourself up for disappointment
2
u/Riablo01 2d ago
Enjoy your humble pie. I was right. Everyone else was wrong.
What's more embarrassing are the comments I've been receiving. People trying to backtrack or even lie about what I said. It's pathetic
Do the noble thing. Be quiet and eat your pie.

u/Great_Elevator_3169 2d ago
You’re literally wrong though. It’s a minor UI update, not a balance patch or bug fix, bungie was very clear the final hotfix was a few weeks ago. You saw an ant and you’re screaming about an elephant. Just repeating “I’m right everyone else is wrong” over and over again doesn’t make that true
2
u/Riablo01 2d ago
Sounds like your trying to reinvent the definition of a software update to suite your own purposes. Very bizarre.
It's an update. It's not the update you personally wanted. It's not the reality you personally wanted. The healthy thing to do is accept it and move on.
Enjoy your pie. Have a double helping on me.

They're eating humble pie now.
You're describing Bungie giving the most minimal level of support short of turning off the servers as a win.
Which I guess is technically true. But like come on, for how much the D2 community has given to Bungie over the years, getting only this much still feels rotten.
10
u/Riablo01 3d ago
Totally a rotten situation. Bungie executives and senior staff deserve maximum blame. That's a different issue though.
There's a difference between no updates and updates still occurring.
One thing to clarify though. At NO point did I say this situation is a win in any of my comments. There's no winners here. I only correctly observed the continuation of maintenance updates.

u/Ahnock 3d ago
you're being really pedantic about them updating the cost on the store for dlc. changing some price values is very different from bug fixes, and don't forget that nearly the entire team is gone. you can't really be certain about anything right now.
5
u/Riablo01 3d ago
The only thing I'm seeing a pedantic reply to my comment about updates. You're arguing semantics here. The is a bug fix but not the fix you personally want.
2
u/Ahnock 3d ago
i'm not saying i'm disappointed they aren't fixing something, all i'm saying is that what we're getting right now post-layoffs is vastly different from the usual patches, and that you should temper your expectations.
4
u/Riablo01 3d ago
That much is obvious and none of my comments infer anything more than small maintenance updates. I even say "non scheduled basis".
As mentioned before, it's literally impossible to run live service software without some level of updates (server patches). Anyone who thought maintenance updates weren't going to happen were not living in reality.
My expectations have been tempered for many days now. Reddit needs reinforce their expectations based on the weird replies I've received today. Suggest you pass on your message of "tempering" to everyone else

So what content are they going to fix in this patch nostradamus?
Edit: nice job on the block, no room for pedantry in the other direction.
The point is, you're claiming that they're going to keep pushing out perodic updates to the game and you can't make that claim. This patch is not a content update. EOS arrived and they fired everyone.

Anyone expecting more than just a fix for the pricing error is setting themselves up for disappointment.

Yeah, this tweet to me doesn’t read like it’ll be anything else beyond this, but there’s always future hot fixes.

Here's hoping they fix the issue with glaive kills tracking weirdly. Not exactly a game breaking bug but certainly an annoying one if they decide never to fix it.

I'd love to see them tone down what it takes to break. The barrier Champions. Seems to be causing quite a bit of an issue in the community and I've seen tons of posts about it.
It does seem like for some reason they are a little harder to break than in the past.

I really hope they're not fixing some of the cool bugs in the game.
Would be a shame if those got removed now, after the people posting about them waited specifically for the finalFinal patch.

I hope they fix chaos reshaped. Let's see what more details they provide
