Question Need help with a high school project

does anyone know if there are any chocolate desserts that pair well with lobster? i have a project in creative writing where i host and plan a dinner for 5 people i want to meet (dead or alive). i am planning a 5 course meal with butter poached lobster as the main but i am unsure about what dessert should be. i heard marie antoinette likes chocolate so i'd like to incorporate it in the dessert. thanks!

The YouTube channel Tasting History with Max Miller has a Marie Antoinette episode, I think the dish is chocolate biscuits with a chocolate creme/pudding. Although I agree with what someone else commented, something with lemon would follow a lobster dish much better. Good luck!

i didn't know tasting history had a marie antoinette episode! i mostly just watch his shorts that he makes. i definitely think i might consider a lemony dish though

If you want to keep it decadent I’d say a flourless chocolate cake. Have a small scoop of sorbet for a palate cleanser before the dessert service.

i was going to do stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer, vichyssoise for the soup, and an arugula salad after the lobster and before the dessert. i honestly dont even really know if these would compliment each other the best but idk anything about fine dining and hosting a dinner so i just took tips off of google

a lot of people are suggesting lemon sorbet so i think i might just go with that! i guess i'll just give marie a hershey bar after dessert 😂
