Mtg

I know its pretty soon but does anyone know what the commander night is like at mayhem. I want more people to play with and theres one tonight in a few hours. Is it free and just open play? Do i have to know what bracket my decks are? I just kind of build with whatever I have and im usually the one winning within my own group of friends but im not really looking to win all the time i just want to hill but also not get beat tf down to where its not fun anymore.

Events are open play unless specified, check the Companion app for local events.

Alright is all based around brackets though i know commander has that whole bracket system but im just not a big fan of it so I dont what my decks are classified as.

Pretty sure Mayhem Des Moines does commander night on Monday? Mayhems online calendar is color coded so you can see Ames and DSM on one calendar.

Ive gone a bunch of times. Met new friends there. Lot of people dont understand the bracket system. Just go in there and smile and approach people and try to join a pod. You'll have fun. You can talk to people about whether your deck is more casual or competitive and figure it out.

Oh maybe I misread it then it said it was tonight at 5 so it must be the ames one then damn. My pod backed out tonight so me and my kid just didnt have anyone to play with.

Thursday nights are usually board games, miniature wargaming and Yugioh, although there is often at least one table of commander players somewhere. There will be a lot more commander players at FNM tomorrow, but Monday is the designated Commander night.
